We can add this to the list showing the difference between the "Tea Party" and the "Occupy Movement" when idiots make a feeble effort to equate the two and put them on equal ground. Now embassies and consulates are warning their citizens through travel advisories to not go near these violent and dangerous American criminals, for fear of life, limb and property. And you rightly blame them?
Mr. Obama, while in Asia as we speak, still supports this street movement now assailed as dangerous by diplomatic services of major US allies?

Yes...of course they are dangerous. Why didn’t embassies take this step weeks ago? You wouldn’t catch me near these infested places.
I was in Spain last summer and saw the same tent city crap in Barcelona. You couldn’t have paid me enough to enter the park.

the OWS protest area is the safest area in Manhattan, lower Manhattan already had the highest density of police per square mile in the US outside of the Washington DC Mall, and the Occupy Protest area has tripled the numbers of law enforcement in the immediate vicinity.
I like the last line of the warning, ‘if you see and hear a commotion, definitely don’t go over and be a looky-lo.’

the OWS protest area is the safest area in Manhattan The Wall street area is teeming with cops now. Even the bull has his own NYPD guard. The other day, school was closed in New Jersey so I went there with a friend and our two teenaged daughters. It was the highlight of our day , more fun than Central Park, skating at Rock Center and seeing Danielle Radcliff in "How to Succeed."
After getting Broadway show tickets at the South Street Seaport TKTS (no line) we strolled over to Zuccotti Park. It was like a street fair, a party atmosphere. We got some great photos including one of the girls with someone in a Guy Fawkes mask. These guys could make a fortune charging $5 for photos like that.
There were some vendors selling OWS tee shirts which I briefly considered buying as a gag gift for my husband. But as we looked at the tee-shirts, a protestor casually walked by with a sign saying "these vendors do not contribute to Occupy Wall Street."
When we were leaving, I asked a group of New York's finest if I could take their picture. They happily obliged.
All in all it's a great tourist attraction. The city should try to make money off it. LOL!

At first glance I thought the daily “History - 70 years” thread had accidientally gotten posted in Breaking News.

Hysterical.
Please reconsider Your Emperor. They're really not so bad once you get to know them like I do.

Why didnt embassies take this step weeks ago?Because as long as the residents of Obomaville were getting a free ride, they were content.
Now that they've lost their free ride fix, they're going to get even more crazy.

So what happens to the donated $20,000? Who gets to pocket the cash? The DNC?

A bud of mine from the decade and a half I spent in Japan had gotten a transfer from his law firm in New York to their office in Tokyo. I asked him what stood out as most different between the two cities. ‘In Tokyo,’ he said, ‘the cab drivers speak much better English.’
