The left is rooting for Romney, because Obamacare (one of our most powerful clear-cut campaign issues) gets neutralized if he wins the nomination. After South Carolina, this election will be about Romney Vs. "not Romeny." It is appropriate for us here on this conservative website to vet every alternative, and then to stand behind the strongest "not Romeny," even if we sometimes disagree with him. The alternative is Romney himself. This is how we wound up with McCain three years ago. It is also why (at this point in the election cycle) if people want to come on threads attacking a particular "not Romney" candidate, the responsible approach is "I prefer Mr. X, because..." or "I'm not voting for Newt because he's a RINO. or because of that picture with Pelosi, about which I can't really explain," is not helpful and is in violation of Reagan's 11 Commandment.
Question, please: How does Obamacare cease to be a big issue during the electiion campaign if Romney is the candidate?
1. It may very well be ruled unconstitutional by the USSC as of June 2012, and am sure will still be around in Dem talking points as a proposition;
2. Has not Romney said a number of times, without any wriggle room, that “he” will end Obamacare as one of/the first actions of his presidency?
Yes. I was thinking of the 11th commandment when I posted to you.
I wish people would just PROMOTE their favorite candidate, not tear down the others.
