STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) -- The former Penn State assistant football coach at the heart of a massive child sex-abuse scandal said he showered with young boys and hugged them but called the allegedly criminal contact "horseplay."
Jerry Sandusky told NBC News' "Rock Center" on Monday night that he was not a pedophile but, in retrospect, should not have showered with the boys he's charged with sexually assaulting.

The most I did outside the office in the locker room was address the team when everyone was dressed. If something was needed, players came to our office. I damn well didn't even go near the shower. None of us did. Hell no, and I cringe even thinking about it. We just don't do that. Period.
Even if Sandusky told the truth, which I doubt, what the Hell was he thinking?
He wrote a book called “Touched” about his charity foundation and the boys he helped..All the victims are in the book...

What a heartwarming sight it must be to see the CEO of a charitable organization (tax exempt, perhaps?) showering with the underage clients.
No one can accuse him of being “out of touch,” please forgive the pun and unintended bad humor.
There are very few narcissistic sociopaths in the world that can match a pedophile. Before long, we should be hearing Sandusky blaming the children for his problems.
I don’t know that all guys behaved that way. I remember hearing about some of the guys popping each other on the ass with wet towels. Which that would be nothing more than horseplay (I’m speaking of 30-40 years ago). But in any case there was never the presence of a coach other than to yell ‘knock it off’.
Girls locker rooms were set up in much the same way as you describe...I’m speaking jr. & sr. high which is all I’m familiar with.
Back to Sandusky though, it’s all so disgusting (beyond words) and now, one of the victims is going to recant his testimony? WTH?
I’m so glad my son is raised. I can’t imagine raising a child in this sick society. God help us.
I always look at appliances at airport johns and compare them to what I have at home!

Sandusky’s lawyer is a guy who likes them young, too. Except he is hetero. He got a 16 year old girl preggers when he was in his forties.

I just saw the same thing. A 16 year old girl was working in his office. He represented her to get her emancipated from her parents and got her pregnant. Unfreakingbelieveable.
His client too. That's even worse. Sleeping with clients of ANY age is a good way to lose my law license unless I was in a relationship beforehand.
Any pushing around or other physical joking I can recall from high school lockers was not done naked. It might be half in football or other uniform, while somebody does something like put Icy Hot cream on somebody’s shorts before he puts them on.
But frolicking naked in showers? Even among same-age boys? Never, never, in a thousand years never!
That’s exactly right Palladin. Like others, I’m sickened over all this. Not only do these subhumans prey on little children, they appear normal and exploit ‘normalcy’ by appearing normal, involving themselves in ‘normal’ activities etc but with the sole intent of depravity.
A slow tortureous death would be too good for this animal.

I’ve heard of at least one incident where a guy let himself get Sanduskied to death by a horse. Did he mean that kind of horseplay?

YES! I almost brought up the YMCA. It's creepy. They don't allow children in those places. Do your business, be naked as much as necessary, and no more, dry off, get dressed, get the hell outta there.
I don't know about sports locker rooms. They have a reputation for men parading around nude. I don't know how far the homoeroticism extends. But this and the towel snapping etc. I think is what Sandusky is relying on for his defense. But I have a feeling that that kind of behavior has declined over the last thirty years or so.
Honestly, I never even liked shirts vs skins pickup games. Didn't like being skins, felt too naked.
