The bonus for them is that they don’t even have to make up stuff about Newt.

Mark my word they will not quit until only Willard is left standing....

Just go back and look at Obama's past elections. Look at his state senate election. Look at his US Senate election. Note the pattern and then compare that to what Politico is laboring to do on behalf of Obama.

...”Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, meanwhile, would be privatized and congressional salaries sliced in half — or more, if lawmakers don’t answer his demand for a balanced budget this decade.”...

$300,000 for a "historical perspective"? Wow...I didn't realize History was such a well-paying major. Who needs engineering?

Who still believes this crap from the progressive fraud Gingrich?

“Former Freddie Mac officials familiar with the consulting work Gingrich was hired to perform for the company in 2006 tell a different story. They say the former House speaker was asked to build bridges to Capitol Hill Republicans and develop an argument on behalf of the company’s public-private structure that would resonate with conservatives seeking to dismantle it.”

I would trust whatever anyone who is/was affiliated with Freddie Mac with as much contempt as I have for (lawyer) Allred.

The fact that Politico has changed its sights from (94 articles in a week)allegations of Cain to allegations of Newt Gingrich says it all.

They are part of the “Ministry of Dis-information”

Newt Gingrich is the iceberg that sinks the republican party.

Let the battle be joined. Newt might be an easy target, but he knows how to shoot back.

He is an "easy target" because he is a liar and a hypocrite. I thought Romney was bad (and he is), but Ginrich's progressive record makes him look like Sarah Palin. If Newt were a newcomer for a House seat and such a hot debater with no record, I would be swept up in it too. But he has a ATROCIOUS record, and I cannot and will not pull the wool over my OWN eyes to support him.

lol- please, go down this route criminal liberal media...

let’s talk about the rat-wing politicians who benefited from Fannie/Freddie...lets talk about which party said fannie/freddie was going down the tubes and which party wanted everything to keep it all status quo using the race card...

of course this relies on the GOP making everyone aware of the facts so good luck with that....

They have done that with every GOP member running. Say which one is leading then attack. Pick the next one and attack. They have all year to pick our candidate and that is what they are trying to do.

Make all of them damaged goods.

Well it came from anonymous former Freddie and Fannie employees. Who could be more credible?

LOL, Pathetic.

Rahm Emmanuel isn’t running for president. Newt is. Every candidate is going to get this kind of scrutiny except Romney (until he gets the nomination and is literally excoriated by 0bama thugs). I keep hearing Newt can withstand this, Newt has experience to overcome this. Well, now he gets to prove it.

When will the media move their focus to digging up dirt on Mitt? Oh, never? And why? Because Romney is being pushed as the GOP cnadidate. So far the media has ruined Palin’s chances, taken Bachmann down (although she didn’t need much help), Perry was another easy target and they’ve done their job on him, then it was Cain and now it’s Newt.

For decades, the media have been trying to dictate the elections. They were successful in 2008 and now they’re up to the shenanigans again.

Romney won’t be attacked until AFTER he gets the nomination.

Exactly!!!

The issue could be that Newt is a liar, but as of now, there is no evidence but a no named source.

Perry didn’t fall from media attacks. He fell on his own sword.
