If anyone has a link to the interview, this would be a good thread to post it to. Keep in mind that Mrs. Cain is a Democrat, plus she seems soft-spoken. That may give a false impression of “lack of enthusiasm.”

Multi-party households are, er, interesting.

Yea, being a rabid Perry supporter wouldn’t have anything to do with it, would it?

I thought, when the candidate has to bring in his wife to shore up support, it’s all but over.

That only works for “charismatic” Democrats.

I watched it and didn’t think she did any harm or any good for that matter. The time with the family might get some feel good types but not many. Truth is Cain is hurting himself with his knowledge and positions on foreign policy. That interview yesterday where he choked is going to hurt him bad. I also was very interested in Cain but his foreign policy positions and knowledge are a killer.

I disagree. How a wife answers that question has nothing to do with the eventual outcome of a candidates campaign.

Moochelle was asked, before Bamster announced, if he should run for president. Her reply was that...Barack's not ready, yet...he hasn't done anything!

It's obvious Mrs. Cain is NOT a rehearsed, career politician's wife. Her salt-of-the-earth, honest qualities are what make her so likeable.

Funny, what you see as a negative was just the opposite to me. She struck me as someone who is not thrilled that her husband is running for president. Compare that to Jon Edwards wife. She was willing to lie, cheat, and steal and throw away the few remaining years of her life because she lived vicariously through the ambition of her husband. When I hear Mrs. Cain as the reluctant wife, that tells me she's telling it straight up. It also tells me Cain isn't like Obama and Clinton that aspired to be President since they could walk. I want someone as president, that is indifferent to being THE President, and is more interested in what he/she can do as president.

She is not used to giving interviews and was probably nervous.

I saw the interview and I do not agree.

Mrs. Cain is not running for President, her husband is.

My support for Mr. Cain is still unwavering (at this point) although i did hear that he had a bad appearance in front of some newspaper board or other.

Brain freezes don’t disqualify him, but I heard about some answers that he gave that might.

Thought Anita Perry’s whining on any broadcast that would book her was deplorable.

She is calling every radio station in FL looking for talk radio time . Heard her on our local Naples/Ft Myers station last week - what a doozy she is-she comes across like a Mom who’s kid is losing the Student Council race

Turn this around

What executive experience managing large organizations dealing with serious crisis does ANY of the GOP Candidates other then Cain bring?

Newt is a GREAT talker. Fine so was Obama. Where is there anything in his, Perry, Paul, Bachmann, Sanatorium etc record that you can point to that show executive level crisis management skills?

And NO being “Speaker of the House” does not require executive leadership and crisis management skills.

Ah but that right, you cannot because there IS none. None of them have dealt with such a crisis in their history

So by your own stated standard, NONE of the candidates is “Ready”.

While I was married, before I retired, I had several career transition which required major moves, which means packing up, uprooting from friends and close-by family, then relocating to a new set of digs, new shopping to get used to, perhaps make new friends, and acclimate to new schools and new church, etc.

If I were Gloria, I would not be all that enthusiastic to go through that at her age. Herman has volunteered her for a major hassle in life in the twilight years. Perhaps a level headed Lady like Gloria has looked at the White Hut and found it ... an unbelievable hassle she is not enthusiastic to tackle.

I can't say as I blame the Lady. Washington DC is a cesspool of cliques and crackpots. And the traffic is horrendous, not that she will be allowed to drive around the place, but it is horrendous.

Wouldn't it be interesting to have a President elect who didn't make his family uproot their lives so completely and allowed them to stay at home in the Atlanta area and only visit the Asylum on important state sponsored occasions?

The interview was scheduled weeks ago according to Ms. VanSustran. I doubt she is lying.

By not helping, she hurt his chances.

Her enthusiasm was very luke warm and at times critical.
Someone should have reminded her she was NOT at a coffee clatch with the girls, and to keep her comments brief and positive.
