Agreed. No one is asking him to be an intellectual but people expect a President to have a certain view of the world. Like it or not, Slick Mittens projects gravitas. Where you agree with it or not, that’s why he will probably get the nomination in spite of the fact few can stand him. Cain really needs to brush up his knowledge and articulate his principles to stand a chance and the Cain fans on here want to deny reality - he’s a flawed candidate. I discount the sex harrassment stuff but not knowing where the guy stands on foreign policy, on unions, on government regulation, etc, that is not going to help him. And calling fair criticism a hit piece shows that Cain supporters can’t evaluate his candidacy in an objective light.
I don't understand how it's a hit piece just by asking him his impression of Obama's Libya policy. What are we supposed to ask him - his favorite cereal? His favorite Four Tops song? Frankly, it's embarrassing to see people ignore his glaring faults. It's amazing to me how so many on FR find their guy and just ignore any evidence that he or she might have a flaw, and become blinkered cheerleaders. I'm probably for Newt right now, but I'm painfully aware of his myriad flaws.
Basically, all of our choices for Republican nominee suck pretty bad, and we have to choose the least sucky.
