The REAL Cain Scandal (video cringe alert...has NOTHING to do with Gloria Allred)
Michelle Malkin ^ | November 14, 2011 | Michelle Malkin

Posted on 11/14/2011 2:50:42 PM PST by St. Louis Conservative

It has nothing to do with anything Gloria Allred has her hands in.

It’s his continued lack of preparedness on, and familiarity with, basic domestic and foreign policy issues. Sorry, Cain fans. Tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. But like Rick Perry, Herman Cain is just not ready for prime time. The real Cain scandal: He can barely form a coherent thought on Libya when put on the spot and garbles collective bargaining 101 facts.

Watch for yourselves. Take anti-depressants or a stiff drink first:

On Libya (listen for the part where he excuses his hemming and hawing by explaining that he has “a lot of stuff twirling around in his head”)…

If Herman Cain thinks abortion should be legal, that Alan Greenspan was a great Fed chairman, and the government unions should be allowed to collectively bargain....then I think he’s the real RINO in the race. Huntsman is FAR more conservative than that!

The GOP may end up with a brokered convention like 1952 when they chose Ike (BTW, without having any idea if he was a Republican or not).

Who said Herman Cain is anything but pro life as he has said? Throwing the baby out with the bath water is sad. There are some people that want such a perfect candidate it is a fairy tale and will allow Romney and then Obama.

“Really? Michelle Malkin, the Romney groupie who slobbered over him like a horny school girl for years now!”

Wow, there’s an intelligent retort.

Then you are in luck. Cain does not think abortion should be legal and has done the most of any candidate running to put a stop to it, in spite of the play that two spliced together answers got (with the second question omitted). When he was asked to list which Fed Chairman he admired in the last decade chose Greenspan over Bernake. Who wouldn't? There are some things that some public sector employees should be able to bargain for. Does that mean it is valid in all cases and for all situations? No.

This is a bunch of nothing. I watched the video, Cain took a few moments to collect his thoughts before answering an MSM question.

Nothing in common with Perry’s not remembering which three departments of the federal government his consultants want to eliminate.

None of the other Candidates have been plagued for more than two weeks by negative allegations.

It's a long way til next November.

Herman Cain has just be the MSM’s First Pick.

GO HERMAN!

Wow we have as many threads on this topic as we do Cain sexual harassment accusers. I’m gonna comment on your thread since you posted the original thread that was eventually pulled before all of these new ones were posted. I’m a Cain supporter and I am convinced he would be a good President and make the right choices and decisions if elected. Problem is getting there. So, does one support the most electable candidate or the candidate who he feels will serve the strongest dose of medicine that the country desperately needs?

The more folks cast dispersions on Mr. Cain the more I support him.

It ain’t over til it’s over.

Are any of them ready for prime time? This race will not hinge on foreign policy, that much is for sure.

Sarah Palin should have entered this race, IMO.

Flak...target...

If that was the criteria for a candidate, Rick Perry would be running around 90% in the polls...

Gingrich thinks Freedie Mac is a “model organization”. Newt thinks the individual healthcare mandate is a good idea.

That should give anyone pause.

I haven't seen the video but from what I'm reading on this thread, I'm sure it doesn't put Herman Cain in a good light. He isn't always glib and doesn't have slick, ready answers to every issue that is raised. He clearly needs to do more work on dealing with the media. However, Cain's long history as a successful player in the corporate business world and his obvious intelligence combined with his conservative worldview leads me to trust that the man could a great president. I believe that Herman Cain will do the 'homework' necessary to be better informed and prepared for the tough questions only conservative political candidates get from the media.

Like many FReepers, I think the sexual harassment allegations are specious and politically motivated. I also believe that on FR the supporters of other Republican presidential candidates will keep ripping Herman Cain apart in the wan hope of pulling him down so their candidate can stand on the (political) tomb of Cain and declare 'victory' while decrying the vicious infighting that is making the Republican party look divided and the presidential primary process, chaotic. Despite that, I believe that when the GOP primary votes are counted, Herman Cain will emerge triumphant

Who is she pimping for?

Looks like Romney, unfortunately, based on the frequency of her articles bashing Newt, Perry and Cain, but NOT Mittens. If true, we are doomed.

Some posters actually seem to relish in destroying every candidate we have....makes me wonder what is really happening.

Future ZOT bait! (Not to worry, JimRob will weed them out.)

“Gingrich thinks Freedie Mac is a “model organization””

Although he may have stated that in the past, that is anything but what he’s been saying for some time now. Have you watched the debates? Newt has lambasted Freddie. Stay current my man.
