2. Some powerful player is probably behind it.
Beyond that we know nothing.
And I’ll tell you, if you really think that Perry is the most likely “powerful player” behind this smear job, your imagination is extremely limited.
The fact that some posters, like south40, want to “blame it all on Perry” reminds me of the “it’s all Bush’s fault” from the dems.
I wasn't referring to marty60 but marty60 is one of the Perry fangirls. She could not be more of a Perry supporter than she already is.
I wonder if there is any proof he lost the money and didn't just exchange it for chips to be cashed in later.

I have a difficult time remembering all the people I meet, and I would imagine that Cain has met thousands more than I have.
I do better remembering events, but that requires that someone accurately describes what happened.
Did anyone see the news conference? What did the boyfriend claim? Did he ever actually meet Cain? Or is all of his information second-hand?
I could actually produce a credit card statement from 15 years ago to show that I paid for a hotel. Does he have anything like that?

Making unsubstantiated claims about me only to have to withdraw them when you have been asked to support them gets you nowhere.
