Results from new poll of GOP primary voters from Democratic firm Public Policy Polling: Newt Gingrich (28 percent), Herman Cain (25 percent), Mitt Romney (18 percent), Rick Perry (6 percent), Michele Bachmann and Ron Paul (5 percent), Jon Huntsman (3 percent), Rick Santorum and Gary Johnson (1 percent).
One particularly interesting note from PPP: Theres reason to think that if Cain continues to fade, Gingrich will continue to gain. Among Cains supporters 73 percent have a favorable opinion of Gingrich to only 21 percent with a negative one.

The more I went back to see where Newt has come from, how he has re-visted where he has stood in the past, how he now articulates and explains himself, and that believable...the less I have concerns of what he will do in Washington.....I think those who think they have Newt down to a science from his past mis-steps are going to find there's a changed man operating within who has reins, which is why Newt now comes across very much at peace with himself...his past...and how he views the future for our country. I'm not trusting Newt as much as the one he now claims as his own...and this without expecting Newt to be perfect...he's not and like most politicians he will not be able to satsify everyone...but he is the best left standing now...and he can certainly do more than go head to head with Obama.
I honestly believe Newt can hardly wait to take on Obama and reveal Him for what he really is in full view of the audiance.
[He looks skilled at positive P.R.]
No doubt about that, he is a good talker.
That 11 second delay, plus others, were excruciating to watch in that TV discussion.
Your attacks on Cain are utterly baseless, and intent on eliminating the top candidate in the way of Ginrichism; The persuit of socialist tyranny for the US.
>> “Gingrich was an advocate of conservative futurist thinking.” <<
.
Ginrich’s “Futurist Thinking” is Global socialism, the diametric opposite of Conservatism and freedom.
You have no idea what conservatism is about.
Its about preserving the good things that the founders gave us, not playing with the insanity of the “Futurists” (read Socialists)
The exposure of the willful fraud of Hadley was well before Newt’s dawdling on the couch with Nancy.
Newt is Radio Active.

Democrap talking points.
The 11 second delay was the proof that Cain is honest and analytical. US policy WRT Libya is contradictory from top to bottom, and a mere 11 seconds pause to answer a “gotcha” question is without meaning.
You don’t have it right, ES. Gingrich has in the past advocated a union of democracies. That’s all.
It would be a cooperating union of democracies as NATO is a union of cooperating militaries.
I don’t understand why everyone wants to find a bugabear behind every bush.
Rush was commenting today how every conservative who has risen, except for Romney, has had the long knives treatment by the media. And the conservatives just play along with them.
To listen to the posters on Free Republic, every single conservative out there is actually a closet one-worlder liberal.
Well, guess what, the only one not risen yet is Santorum, and if he does, you can bet this fine conservative man will also get the long knives treatment.
Rush concluded that the media wants Romney to be the candidate. Makes sense, because it’s a win-win for them.
[Democrap talking points.]
It may be but they can see what most of us do - those of us who are honest about it. Long pauses, he leaned his head back and rolled his eyes up, he moved his chair around, and then he asked questions before he attempted to reply. It was very hard to watch. Imagine if that happened on stage!
You’re trolling!
Cain’s response was, in total, appropriate, and anything else would have been trivializing like the answers that the socialists give, to the great pleasure of the moderators.
You like socialism, go for Newt!
>> “Gingrich has in the past advocated a union of democracies. Thats all.” <<

We’re NOT a democracy!
We need no union with Satan and his democracies.
NATO is a global arm of genocide. It is the active core of the war against the gospel of Jesus Christ. They supported Islamic terror in the Balkans, and literally created and armed Alqaeda in that war.
Newt is not a conservative. He’s done nothing conservative in his entire career. He is statist in all his ways.
The media have so far given Newt a complete pass, and they will be very happy to have Newt as the GOP Trojan Horse; he would be so easy to beat.
Hey, you pinged me here and I have every right to discuss my opinions - you just don't like them. Besides, calling someone else a troll when YOU sit in wait for any Perry thread to show up so you can make ugly remarks - is just outrageous.
Actually we are. We are a democratic republic which means that we are both a democracy and a republic. The Constitution begins with the phrase WE THE PEOPLE.
By the terms of the Constitution itself, WE are a democracy. While it is wrong to call the US a democracy to the exclusion of calling it a Republic, it is equally wrong to call the US a Republic without noting that it is also a democracy in that it is a government OF THE PEOPLE.
There is no pure democracy on earth and there never has been one with more than about a dozen voting members.
We’re not a democracy is one of those kind of answers that ignores as much as it reveals.
Sure we are. We are a democratic republic.
We have a virtually direct election of the president of the USA, with a supposed body of electors bound by law to vote as directed by the popular vote in their various states.
You might not like the 17th amendment, but it IS a direct election of a representative. We are, therefore, a representative democracy, a type of republic.
This is attested to by the 13th 14th and 19th amendments that extend the vote to every citizen.
I have worked with those NATO troops during the old cold war, and they were our allies in that showdown with the Soviets.
See #273, posted before I saw your response.
Neither of you has the slightest idea what a democracy is.
?????
I believe you may have your own definition of what it is.
How does your definition not fit with this:

Let’s stick with Webster’s 1828 dictionary.
Revisionism is another thing that isn’t faintly conservative.
