Jackie Battley was Gingrichs geometry teacher in high school. They secretly dated until they got married on June 19, 1962.
...In 1980, the couple separated after Gingrich began an affair with Marianne Ginther.
Ginther met Gingrich at a political fundraiser in 1981. Ginther is the daughter of a former Ohio mayor. They married six months after Gingrich divorced his first wife, Jackie Battley.
...Gingrich began an affair with House of Representatives staffer Callista Bisek in the mid-1990s.
...Newt began an affair with Callista while she worked as an aide for the House of Representatives. They continued their affair during the Monica Lewinsky scandal. Newt headed the investigation into charges that President Bill Clinton committed perjury throughout the Lewinsky affair. Newt and Callista married in 2000.

So, what you’re saying here is that Calista should trust but verify?
I don’t really care. We are in too much trouble.
Didn’t say he was honorable.
We don’t know if lives were “ruined” by his actions. At this point I have not heard either of his Ex Wives nor his children blaming Newt for the sad state of their lives.
Just stating that there is much more to the situation than any of us know.
As I stated in my original Post, I do not condone the actions of Newt Gingrich. I am simply pointing out that none of us know the circumstances surrounding his personal life.
I am not a Newt Gingrich supporter at this point so don’t imply that I said things I did not say.
So what is your problem?
Are you familiar with what he's been doing with his life since he left the Congress? Look at the orgs he has started and their purposes. Look even at what happened when Fannie/Freddie paid his consulting firm for advice, which he gave yet the orgs did not follow.
Look at the lengthy, detailed, and reconstructive agenda Newt has detailed at his page. And listen to the several lengthy speeches he's given in the last two or three years, all without a teleprompter and in most cases standing to be questioned following his speeches and still giving lengthy detailed data rich answers, all extemporaneously.
You might even go watch the compiled segments from his answers/responses during the candidate events (I refuse to call them debates).
Is Newt a perfect paragon of virtue? No, his past doesn't measure up to the level I believe Herman Cain lives daily. But Newt is so current and experienced, I believe that he is the precise man for the perhaps impossible task of getting America back to fiscal health.
Here's a link to a very good five part video of his speech at the David Horowitz Restoration event in Florida, January of 2009. His comments, if you listen carefully, highlight what he believed Obama was about to try and do to change this nation in the wrong direction ... and he was exactly correct!
http://kitmantv.blogspot.com/2009/11/part-ii-part-iii-part-iv.html
Please, watch the linked speech and think about what it means that Newt foresaw and addressed what the commie-in-chief has now done, then compare what Newt says must be done to reverse the damage.
You do know openly supporting Romney here is a first class ticket to “outer darkness”
btw...Clinton’s affairs were not the issue...it was perjury and obstruction
only non conservatives think it was about sex
Newt’s issues are about cheating...I think he can weather that unless there is more
McCain cheated too and got the nomination
Obama doesn’t cheat because Michelle can kick his scrawny butt and he may be a Dorothy
I don’t cheat...I don’t need to..proof is on my homepage..and I’m scare shiteless of her
Infidelity doesnt stop in marriage. He will jump into bed with Pelosi, Reid, and main stream media to be loved at some point, as he already has before
Food for thought.
I missed that...in fact, he said he is supporting Cain.
Tell me where he supports Romney.
FUNG!! Lowlife degenerate!!
This is not news. Its so old nobody even cares anymore. Newt said he has made his peace with God over it. Neither of the 2 ex wives are holding press conferences to deride him. Get over it, they have.
RE: So what is your problem?
Romney and his statist sycophants.
You one?
I suspect you are correct
Blood before politics
I still will never vote for him.
Thanks for posting that about Reagan.
Man we need another version of him.
Bad idea Cyman..politics makes for strange photo ops
I said that about McStain.
Reagan also endorsed his fair share of RINO’s. Things have changed recently, but back then, Reagan new the importance of compromise & negotiations for the circumstances given. I feel quite certain if Reagan were at this point he would have handled things quite differently.
I don’t know for sure, but I think Newt realizes, finally, that things & settings have changed as well & has adjusted accordingly.
Romney and his statist sycophants.
You one?
LOL! It's well known that I am NOT a Romney supporter...just another falsly accused by YOU!
Why are you accusing people of supporting Romney who haven't mentioned Romney?
Are you brown-nosing JR?
Only I mean it...
McCain was pro-life. Sorry, I will not vote for this evil bastard:
