Jackie Battley was Gingrich’s geometry teacher in high school. They secretly dated until they got married on June 19, 1962.

...In 1980, the couple separated after Gingrich began an affair with Marianne Ginther.

Ginther met Gingrich at a political fundraiser in 1981. Ginther is the daughter of a former Ohio mayor. They married six months after Gingrich divorced his first wife, Jackie Battley.

...Gingrich began an affair with House of Representatives staffer Callista Bisek in the mid-1990s.

...Newt began an affair with Callista while she worked as an aide for the House of Representatives. They continued their affair during the Monica Lewinsky scandal. Newt headed the investigation into charges that President Bill Clinton committed perjury throughout the Lewinsky affair. Newt and Callista married in 2000.

Very clever posting of a typical Mormonism smear on modern Christianity. Are you a Mormon perhaps?

BTW, the answer to your twisted question is the nature of Salvation. It isn't found in an institution as Mormons and LDS inc would have the gullible believe. I have it on good authority that The Holy Spirit is not under the orders of any particular sect of Christianity. I also have it on good authority that Slavation is not found in LDS inc or any of the other dozens of smithian religion manifestations. Smith was not working for God, he was working for his own empowerment as a peepstone sexual predator of married and any other status females, of nearly any age bracket.

Careful now, the Mormon will point out to you that Joe Smith married probably all the females he picked on too, except their ‘profit’ married a whole lot more of the female daliances.

How in the world did you come to the conclusion that what I posted was pro-Mormon? Mormonism is clearly a cult, similar to 7th Day Adventism, Christian Science, Jehovas Witnesses, Islam, etc that distort the message of the Gospel with non-Biblical teachings.

Protestant Christianity bases salvation on (1) The Absolute authority of Scripture and (2) Ephesians 2:8-9. That’s what I believe and adhere to, not anything more, not anything less.

I was pointing out that Newt gave up Protestant Christianity for the Catholic Church. While it’s true that some Catholics adhere to the Protestant doctrine of Salvation, there are not that many, because so many of the Catholic teachings and traditions are non-Biblically based and in fact contradictory.

What does Newt’s affair have to do with committing perjury. Committing perjury is a felony. Having an affair on your wife is the act of breaking a vow to her. Hey, Democrats should embrace Newt.

Pretty much. The book of Romans points out that there is no one good enough to earn their way to heaven. Many of my Catholic friends, though, try to counter with the book of James and the whole “faith without works is dead”, though they take the meaning out of context.

I usually refer them to Jacki’s page:

Ronald Reagan had NO hint of infidelity about him, and was divorced unwillingly.

It’s DISGUSTING to compare that to a man who’s a serial adulterer.

RE: That said, my understanding is that Catholics believe in: Work+Faith = Salvation. BTW, is this true?

No. Absolutely false. Catholics believe in Grace alone = salvation. Both faith and works are acts of man. Only by God’s Grace do we receive salvation.

The guy committed adultery at least twice and once with an intern.

You condemn Clinton yet forgive Newt?.

Is it that Clinton was President and Newt was just Speaker of the House?

Fundamentally flawed reasoning. Imho

Reagan was divorced once and never boinked an intern that served under him.

Oh great! Newt marries the girls he has affairs with. How honorable.
What about the wives he cheated on and then divorced. He ruined their lives and didn’t look back .

I've taught Bible Studies in a Baptist Church, as a Southern Baptist. I've taught adult Bible Studies in a wonderful Episcopal Church as an Episcopalian. Since the Episcopal Church has lost its way, I am seriously looking at a local Catholic Church as a place to worship with fellow Christians. I'm pursuaded the Holy Spirit is not a respecter of 'churches'.

What you implied in your post is very similar to an approach used by Mormonism Apologists working FR for the last many years, some of whom have been banned.

I do apologized for insulting you by asking if you're a Mormon.

He ruined their lives? ... You must be female. And it is astonishing how well acquainted you are with the intimate details of Newt’s relationships with his wives. NOT ... sheesh, if this is what the typical Herman Cain supporter spittles for supporting Herman, He could use a few rational supporters who don’t build his negatives as they spew malicious crude about other candidates in his name.

> Newt said Freddie Mac was a “model organization”

> Newt said we needed to take action to stop global warming

> Newt supported Dede Scozzafava

Newt ragged on Ryan’s Medicare voucher plan and repeated his support for forcing us all to purchase healthcare (mandates), the lynchpin of Obamneycare.

Newt supported TARP.

Newt promoted the return of the Fairness Doctrine.

Newt has no problem with a huge government. He has no intention of shrinking it. He just wants to rule it. And he has no problem with lying to gullible conservatives to get them to vote for him, because he’s smart and has no moral gate keeping him from lying about what he really wants to do.

Newt’s serial adultery is a symptom of Newt’s complete lack of integrity. Put him in an advisory role... absolutely. Put him in power? Dangerous.
