A 75-year old woman was fighting for her life last night after she was viciously beaten in the early evening on a busy Midtown street by a hulking homeless man wielding a nail-studded wooden plank.

The victim was walking on East 40th Street near Madison Avenue at around 6:15 p.m. when Andre Lineaux, 51, allegedly attacked her, cops said.

Witnesses said the assailant first shouted curses at the woman and then beat her senseless with the five-foot, 2-by-4 chunk of wood.

I was down there last week, and I tell you- everything they say about it, the NY Post at least, is true. It's a freakin' insane asylum with tents, literally. One guy wearing nothing but shorts screaming his brains out while spinning in circles. This is freedom of speech? So in other words his message is "RAAAAWAAAH!"??

I feel so bad for the people who work around there, who live around there, who have to put up with that BS day and night. To be quite honest, I would lose it. That's one thing that drives me up the wall, not being able to sleep because a bunch of a-holes deem it OK to make a shietload of noise 3am in the morning. If this mental midget Bloomberg is so into them practicing their "freedom of speech" how about he let them camp out in front of his townhouse on E.79th street for a few days? See how his neighbors the big Dem donors living around there would appreciate it.

How can a place as beautiful as OR have such loathsome vile inhabitants as are at OWP? Oh, I forgot about the “liberal mentality” of the leaders.

Sorry, just shows that “liberalism’ (current use of term) is truly a mental illness.

Mold grows beneath the green trees. Open Marxism is popular in the Northwest. The old hippies blend in with the young anarchists.

Never said I had a problem with frontier justice, just with martial law. The establishment basicslly supports the OWS bunch (or at least their agenda) they see the TEA party as the radicals. I agree the people of NY lack the will and the means to stop this. Its getting colder, the OWS bunch are catching TB in droves. This problem will likely resolve itself here soon. I see they don’t try their nonsense in red states or cities.

Callihan is a fictional character. When even Democrats complain about the corruption in a Democratic administration, you know it's bad
