As for me, it's mostly Southern Gospel music -- groups like the Kingsmen, Happy Goodman Family, Florida Boys, Blackwoods... If you like your praise of the Lord with a twang, it's a great genre. The music is happy, uplifting, patriotic and, most of all, unabashedly Christian.
Any other Southern Gospel fans here in FReeperville?
See my post #89.
I rarely listen to Southern gospel, but I grew up with the music of Mahalia Jackson. Man, could that woman sing!
As for the contemporary Christian music, I absolutely LOVE the Newsboys. Pull up "He Reigns" or "It is You" on YouTube. Great stuff!
My wife's favorite artists are Third Day, Chris Tomlin, Kutlass, Casting Crowns, and Toby Mac (of DC Talk).
My daughter loves Jeremy Camp.
My grandson loves Mercy Me.
So you see, the libs would be proud: we're a model of diversity. Lol!
Yeah me, I love the Goodmans.
