To: sand lake bar

I don’t think most of us are tarring and feathering the entire university. Anyone with a brain knows better than to do that.

But in the wake of the recent riots, I find the Governor’s statement a little too broad the other way. There’s a lot not to be proud of, both in the actions of a few and the reasction by many students, many of whom probably don’t know the facts. He would have served the student body and the state better by simply staying out of it.

I just find it smacked of “Ok, let’s get the acknowledge the victim stuff out of the way....and let’s get on with the game.”

And do you really think Ohio State weren’t tarred and feathered? What about USC and Auburn? Nobody is accusing every Penn State official or student of anything, but to be ginning up sympathy for a university that saw and hid its own program and facilities involvement in this defies belief.

This game should not be played. Penn State should not be competing for the Rose Bowl.
