I have read many of your posts and I respect the heck out of you. I mean that sincerely and I am not pandering. That said, I always felt she only has only a shallow grasp of the issues. Good conservative values, but shallow. And I say that to you specifically with respect.

WE ALL need to keep a link to this thread handy. We’re hearing a lot from people here at FR that think it’s Newt’s turn, and they’re judging him simply because he can be queen of the Debating Society.
We MUST remember the REAL NEWT - which is someone that simply CANNOT be trusted with holding the conservative torch. No matter how hard one tries to rationalize him, there is simply NO WAY to explain away his Pelosi on the couch commercial. Simply no way. In this case, we’re seeing the REAL NEWT again. It is good that he continues to remind us of just who he is really is, let’s not get lulled asleep AGAIN by him.
Perhaps he can lecture him on why we should all vote for Scuzzofavo or tell us why Global WArming is real and we are all wrong.
I like Newt, but he sometimes he is too smart for his own good.

Look, Newt has always been like this, he is a politician, and here, he is doing the politically correct thing. Sexual harassment is nothing to joke about. Ok, I get it. I chuckled with Cain, but whatever, gotta not upset the moderates, and make them hate us even more, blah blah, thats Newt, the insider trying to play nice.

Well, you’re welcome to side with Anita Hill, but there are A LOT of Republicans with long memories that IDOLIZE Clarence Thomas. Hill was there for ONE REASON, which was to sink his nomination. She LIED THROUGH HER TEETH and nearly pulled it off.
If you really believe her, then simply ask this question: WHERE ARE THE OTHER WOMEN. It’s been 20 years now, if Thomas was such a sex-fiend, as you imply, there should be MANY, MANY, more women that have been his victims since those hearings.
So go shove it.
Upon seeing this is politico it makes me wonder about a cut and run on this.

Cain’s priority is to win THE NOMINATION. The general election is a year away. By then, this crap will be long-gone - particularly because he now has a lawyer that will deal with lying bimbos, once and for all.
Newt is a NO vote right after Romney..some of us have long memories on Newty. His baggage is not personal with me, its political...stick finger in wind, which way is wind blowing, thats where Newt heads...He talks good, he has years of practice in the college class room. His actions suck wind big time..
Taken in context - Newt made a fair point. Making these comments in the current enviroment with all this stuff going on (Penn State et.al.) doesn’t serve Cain well. Not wise to be making light - especially when it just focuses attention back on Cain’s problems that he’s supposed to be trying to get past. It’s an acknowledgement of the media and their hypersensitivity. Again, Cain needs to get serious and get the focus where is should be.

I’m still not sure about Cain.
But I am sure about Newt.
Newt is a jerk totally without principles. All he wants is a return to political power. He has proved that again and again.
