Newt Gingrich said Friday that Herman Cain should not have joked about Anita Hill potentially endorsing him for president, arguing in a radio interview that harassment is not something to be joked about.

Newt said this on the Laura Ingraham radio show & Politico is happiyl reporting it!
You are confusing the hell out of me.
These words by Newt is just the latest evidence is a long line of evidence that he isn’t wise enough to be a candidate for either president, or even VP for that matter.
" Hes one of those people which you are interested to hear what they have to say, because you like the way they say it."
Sucker.
Look, you don’t like Newt...fine. But saying he isn’t a fighter?
Gee, I suppose the GOP just took control of the House in 1994 because it was preordained, right? He had nothing to do with it? Nothing to do with bringing down Jim Wright?
Old Bob Michels would have done just as well, right?
Give me a break.
Hank
Newt just dropped 10 pts on my scale...
I believe the article is referring to Newt’s appearance on the Laura Ingraham show today. That’s when he said it.
This one goes after Romney

What does the incident at Penn State have to do with running for POTUS and Herman Cain?
Newt is a cunning professional politician! Schooled in the world of debating and slaying his victims with words.
Proceed with Caution, Mr. Cain.
OK, I thought the post was referencing my woulda, coulda, shoulda.
Oh Newt, a man living in a glass house like yours should NOT be throwing rocks at his neighbors.
Cain clarified this tonight on Cavuto - someone in the audience said, “Anita Hill is coming here” or something like that and Cain laughed and said, “Is she going to endorse me?”
These fems already have their panties in a wedgie already, or maybe their going Geronimo these days!
You say: “Bad boy Newt. Siding with Anita Hill is NOT the way to win the Republican nomination, at least not this year..”
That is such a stretch it passes comical to pitiful.
First of all, y’all, did you listen to the video and at least get the whole context?
Laura I. asked “Was Cain silly for joking about Anita Hill...what would you advise him to do?”
He answered totally correctly. Do YOU think it’s a joking matter? You all are ignoring that Newt is the ONLY one who spoke UP for Cain when TSHTF. Many of you are being disingenuous.
BTW, did you think it perfectly OK for Cain to accuse, with NO evidence, first the Perry Campaign and then others of the smear against him? And all the other ‘walk backs’ he’s had to do?
geeeze - why don’t you bashers at least tell us who YOUR candidate is and why they are more competent, have a better breathe of understanding of the issues - foreign and domestic - and who can hit the ground running on day one - no need to find advisers and get up to speed.
If you haven’t noticed, we are OUT OF TIME. We’ll be lucky to survive until election. WE don’t have time for another ‘learn on the job’ president.
“Newt is a cunning professional politician! Schooled in the world of debating and slaying his victims with words...Proceed with Caution, Mr. Cain.”
Of course, but Newt’s baggage is pretty darn serious, and if he starts siding with the Anita Hill types, he’ll find himself to the left of even Romney, at least in the eyes of the Tea Party.
Anyway, Newt made that remark against Cain on the Laura Ingraham radio show & Politico picked it up & ran with it.
“Cain clarified this tonight on Cavuto - someone in the audience said, Anita Hill is coming here or something like that and Cain laughed and said, Is she going to endorse me?”
It certainly sounds like a quick and witty answer. If he said something like: “Oh no, not a 6th women”, I would have busted up, but I’d also understand FReepers giving up on him.
That's obviously a big part of his success thus far. And that is a part of being able to sell. And salesmanship, to me, is an important part of being president. So he scores some points for being able to get some people to like him. But it's just one piece of the pie, and it's the only one he rates well on.
Anyway, as far as I know, the NJ GOP primary has never been decided by one vote, and the GOP nomination has never come down to the NJ results, so what I think is absolutely meaningless. I'm thinking of giving up voting altogether, but then people will say I don't have a right to complain, so I'll probably keep voting just to retain that right. :-)
That’s why you put a strong capitalist in the WH with a strong conservative cabinet.
Well, what ever Newt did during his term as Speaker of the House, the GOP lost their majority in the next election.
Newt is a Professional Politician! He kited checks from the Congressional Bank to pay IRS. And I’m suppose to trust the guy with my money?
I completely misunderstood and thought you were attributing my words to something Newt had said. :^)
