Newt Gingrich said Friday that Herman Cain should not have joked about Anita Hill potentially endorsing him for president, arguing in a radio interview that harassment is not something to be joked about.

Can you tell me specifically what is “idiotic” about Herman’s sales tax advocacy? Sounds like you must have some reasons right on the tip of your tongue.
As an American I am sick and tired of all this “Political Correctness Crap”.
That why our Country is in such turmoil today. No one will call a spade a spade!
Now, I think Herman would not take offense to that statement~
“I can’t find a reference to where he actually actually worked unless you call being a DC adviser after he left Congress a real job. “
LOL.
How did she govern a state? How did she beat an “experienced” senator like Joe Biden in a debate? Why did Israel, Korea and India ask her to come speak at their high-level confabs and meet with their leaders and movers & shakers? Why is it that EVERY republican candidate at every level wants her endorsement? I respectfully feel that you (and many others) have bought into the presstitutes’ meme that she’s an idiot. Was Senator John McCain crazy when he selected her as his VP nominee? Did she not shoot his poll numbers up and past Mr. Obama’s?
He and Callistra are the perfect picture of Elite GOP Establishment......maybe that's because they are?
He was Speaker of the House and she was an intern under him.
Their seems to be some wild trolling going on here. I don’t like what Newt may have said, but the attack shifts ever so slightly.
Newt has forgotten more about domestic and foreign policy than Hermann “Make it up as I go along” Cain will ever know.
We don’t need a platitude dispenser.
Herman Cain didn’t need to reply to the guy and Newt Gingrich didn’t need to offer his left-handed answer either. The lamestream love to deal in distractions like this one and we shouldn’t buy into their games.
Herman Cain’s interview with Neil Cavuto today was stellar!
DrO was even impressed and that’s saying something!!!
And you don’t think Newt’s response was fodder for the media?
Newt is starting to believe the hype about him being the “smartest one”in the room. He is doing well because no one wants Romney. Had there been no BS allegations about Cain, Newt would still be a second-tier candidate at best.
Further, I think people are getting tired of Newt’s santimonious attacks against the media. If he can’t answer a health-care question in 30 seconds like everyone else tried, then maybe he isn’t as smart as he purports to be.
Lastly, Newt is in no position to pass judgement on Mr. Cain. He played around on his first wife, dumped her for his second, dumped her for the third. In addition to some problems with his book deal while Speaker, which is why he resigned.
Cain was responding to a comment from a supporter, his comment was more directed at himself rather than derogatory to Hill.
I appreciate that. I agree with you that it is DOA. But I find it very disturbing to have a "conservative" promoting a national consumption tax. It will come back to bite us. And I find it humorous that someone would think a man who is fundamentally wrong on the most pressing issue of the day should be president.
But I appreciate your manner of response. Thanks for that.
“Bob - well I disagree for the reasons stated.”
He may have to be ‘sensitive’ to harassment when his past is brought up, but I don’t think that was the context here (although I’m not sure). If his own ‘issues’ were not brought up, a no-comment would have been fine.
This campaign ad took a swipe at Cain too.
I’m not really interested in debating it. If folks want to be suckers, I can’t stop them.
I’m going to watch Bret Baier’s special now.
Sarah Palin is supposed to be one of his guests.
“Their seems to be some wild trolling going on here. I dont like what Newt may have said, but the attack shifts ever so slightly.”
Sorry, don’t follow.
BUMP.
If only, she were running.
All true. Give her 4 years to be Chief Executive... shallow.
Yeah but we also don’t need to elect a President who turns tail and runs, quitting his speakership when he was faced with what was simply a combination of liberal pushback and a barrage of media criticism.
Newt is not a fighter. He will go along to get along. He works with the socialists, and plays by THEIR rules in order to get ahead. No Thanks!
“But I appreciate your manner of response. Thanks for that.”
You’re welcome - and thanks too. My personal liking of Cain overrides my concern for his plan (obviously). I still call it as I see it.
