Earlier this week, Obama revealed that he was at least considering delaying or denying the Keystone XL, the controversial pipeline that would carry tar sands oil from Canada to the Texas Gulf Coast. His hesitance to approve the pipeline is no doubt thanks the enormous tide of opposition that has risen up against it. From every green group on the books to impacted indigenous peoples to a cadre of outspoken celebrity activists, the opponents of Keystone XL have been gaining momentum indeed.
The latest and perhaps most unexpected celebrity to come out swinging at the Obama administration is Julia Louis-Dreyfus, the actress most famous for playing Elaine on Seinfeld. She's recorded a video with the Tar Sands Action campaign asking Obama to turn down the proposed pipeline, and has announced that she'll be attending the massive protest at the White House in Washington D.C. this weekend.

All those little people keep getting in her way on the roads and beaches.
Besides, she’za hottie.
Now that I know she’za liberal (with lotsa doe), changes things a bit for me. Ded-gummit
Nice houses. She has 2 quite large carbon footprints & she is telling us about pipelines???
Whatever she thinks she knows about the National Forests & Parks was learned while watching National Geographic on TV.
She hasn’t seen any forest up close & personal, I bet.
Through her father, a billionaire heir to the Louis Dreyfus Group, one of the world’s largest commodities trading and merchandising firms, she had a cousin, Robert Louis-Dreyfus (19462009), former CEO of Adidas and owner of the Olympique de Marseille soccer team.
Net worth: $3 billion
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, the actress who played Elaine Benes in Seinfeld, has a personal fortune of $3 billion.
a little known fact is that Julia is lucky to be the eldest daughter of billionaire Gerard Louis-Dreyfus, chairman of the Louis Dreyfus Energy Services
Julias father is still alive (born in 1932) as is her mother and step mother. She also has four siblings. But word on the street is that Julia is the apple of her fathers eye after all the success she had without relying on her family name or connections. This success outside the family business earned Louis-Drefuys millions of dollars of her very own both from Seinfeld as well as her recent hit The New Adventures of Old Christine. But the real money will come through inheritance.

Oh, man! That was an accident. I wasn’t even trying, and it’s not on the “Post at 11/11/11 11:11:11” thread!!
I’m definitely saving the source code on that one, LOL! Thanks for the ping, eastforker.
All that we expect out of them is to memorize their lines and act. All they expect from us in return is our allegiance. Is that really asking too much?
YES!!! Common sense.
We have been importing that oil from canada for decades. There is already a pipeline running ti Illinois, have there ever been any problems with it?.
How much fuel would be rquired to transport the oil by Ship, Rail or truck? The Pipeline would not require that “air polluting” fuel.
Piping that oil to Texas would not make it dirtier than shipping by other means.

Oh, man I love that outfit. She used to be incredibly HOT.
LOL!
Perhaps Ms. Louis-Dreyfus should come out to the prairies of the Dakotas and lead her protest among the people who would be most affected by the pipeline. After all the Keystone pipeline isn’t going anywhere within a 1,000 miles of her property or the homes of any other Hollywood leftists. I would venture to say the the ranchers and farmers across whose land the pipeline would run might give her an education.
EVEN WORSE! Her personal wealth comes from her family/Dad’s Dreyfus Fund which primarily derived its wealth from the crude oil market
