You are very close in what you say.

We do often hold ourselves or at least try to hold ourselves to some sort of standards. And that lends itself to the left to nit-pick every perceived imperfection in our very human natures.

They key difference though is when we fail, we seek mercy, forgiveness, and even punishment for those failings.

Democrats/liberals/progressives do none of the above. For them punishment is vindictive. Justice is retribution.

Somehow we need to shine a light into that darkness.

If not for the left’s double standards, they wouldn’t have any standards at all.

The left judges people and situations based upon ever shifting criteria.

The sex harrassment area is a perfect example. We are supposed to be outraged about Herman Cain, were supposed to hyperventilate about Clarence Thomas. But in the case of Bill Clinton, the criteria for judgement were different.
