If, like me, you scanned the crowds rioting at Penn State last night after the announcement of the firing of Joe Paterno, you may have noticed that nearly all the people there were white men. The riots were about white men not liking to be held accountable.
As a native Pennsylvanian, I never once considered attending Penn State University. Penn State always seemed like a place full of cliquish white people recalling their glory years of making fun of the dorky kids in high school. More progressive white people and people of color went to big city state schools like Pitt or Temple while whiter, more conservative types tended to dominate the settings of the rural, fraternity-heavy Penn State campus.
At the center of Penn State’s conservative culture stood Joe Paterno -- who frequently campaigned and fundraised for conservative politicians throughout Pennsylvania.

Re-writing or re-formatting the harddrive doesn’t destroy the evidence completely.
If you have the right equipment and know-how, you can reconstitute drives that were written over or re-formatted.
You have to completely destroy the hard drive, if you don’t want the authorities to know what is on it.

I see the rioters as sports-worshipping idiots who’d rather see kids molested than have their team negatively impacted. Probably I’m wrong, but that’s how I see it.
I couldn’t find out where “Michael Elk, 3rd generation Labor organizer loser” went to school.
Pitt? doubful; another good school that likes football.
Temple? maybe. Liberal haven huggin’ the inner city.
Slippery Rock? nah. Dorks = no jock.
Indiana State University? maybe. Close enough to Pittsburgh to hang out at gay bars and lots of elementary ed majors to impress with beatnick pretensions.

The “winning coach” knew what his assistant coach was doing - and his response was to *confiscate the man’s keys to the showers.*
That’s conspiracy to cover up, as well as connivance after the fact. The “coach who had nothing to do with the assistant coach’s actions” *knew* about what his asst coach was doing as early as 2002 - and left the man in a position to do it again.
As far as “the kids” rioting about Obama and government, you are overlooking the fact that the students are going to a state school, supported by taxpayer dollars. 75% of them receive some form of state and federal aid to be able to afford to attend. They would probably riot to get *more* assistance.
Basically Paterno didn’t care if Sandusky diddled more boys as long as it didn’t happen on campus.
