I went to an engineering school back in the 1960s.
We were too busy studying to have time for such stupidity. An occasional frat party was about the best we could muster.
Standards were high, examinations were TOUGH, and flunking out was a disgrace.
I don’t think there were any “sports scholarships” (an oxymoron, to my way of thinking) for that school.
I can only assume that these kids have had their Ipod headphones on or their video game volumes turned up when it was announced what transpired at Penn State.
Otherwise, I would have to be horrified at the prospect that winning a football game or football trophy is more important than some little boys being sexually abused.

Paterno could have avoided this by doing the right thing and resigning immediately, he had to know there was no way the Board of Trustees was going to let him stay until the end of the season.
They need to cancel the rest of the season.
This is sick.
How the hell can they expect the current players to put on the Penn State uniform?

I've always had great admiration for Paterno as one of the really good guys in college football. Damn shame he went out this way.
How do you not report this to the police? How does this guy and the rest live with themselves?

I supposed all those years being denied the opportunity to riot over a win over Penn State finally got to them.
