Slight correction:
Regime is NOT delaying the decision. I repeat: NOT.
It has decided to cancel the pipeline, but will announce it AFTER the election, and just prior to Cain taking office.

Why does the state department have anything to do with this?

I'll sign off on that.
. . . after which, President Cain will approve the site.

I don’t think Obama really wants us to have jobs, unless they’re obtained by taxing the crap out of millionaires.
PING!

I assume the state dept is involved in order to facilitate eminent domain seizures of private property for a foreign country (Canada).

After which case, the Senates 41 Dems will filibuster it and then tie it up in court for 4 years.
Seriously, this should be all the Republicans talk about for the next year. Nothing else, just this and the hundreds of thousands of UNION and non union jobs it will destroy.

I swear, if people in this country are still so f-ing stupid as to reelect this a-hole, then I honestly throw in the towel and give up hope.

AFTER the election, and just prior to Cain taking office.
Herman should make this a really good campaign issue. He can let everyone know that the first thing he does is sign off on the pipeline.

What a bunch of BS. The US has 168,000 MILES of petroleum product pipelines operating safely today. Nobody has as much stake in their safe and efficient operation as the publicly traded firms that own them.

It only took the Feds three years to decide to look at another route? Ya gotta love the way they operate. /sar

Why not say ten million jobs, the truth is they can build it anytime they wish. Do it the private way. What no one ever points out here, is they cannot use eminent domain without government approval, but they can still build the pipe line.

Another perfect issue for the Republicans which they will ignore instead of pounding the message home on every talk show for weeks. Business as usual for Boehner and McConnell and the establishment.
