If this had been done by a male, he would be in prison.

Stealing her own bike back? That’s a job for cops. She usurped the police. Imagine. Jail time coming. /sarc

And the following morning she looks at the bike a little more closely and remarks, “Hey, that’s not MY bike.”

Several years ago, we had two young thugs in our neighborhood steal our canoe which we had in our side yard. (Canoe's are expensive.) We had no idea who stole it, but had our suspicions. One day, not long after the canoe was stolen, our son happened to drive down our street and saw our canoe being loaded into the back of a pickup truck. He followed the truck and watched two guys unload it in their back yard.
After notifying the police, we were told that if we prosecute, the thugs would, most likely, retaliate. Since all members of our household worked, we decided to follow his advice and leave well enough alone.
Very late in the evening of halloween, my son and two of his buddies, successfully retrieved the canoe. What were the original thieves to do, call the police? LOL

She is a vigilante and she deserves to be thrown in jail forever for not letting the government handle it / not handle it / mismanage the handling of it.
How DARE she steal her own bike back.....

One time when I was a little kid, some kid with a bike just like mine only all beat up switched bikes on me. I had to chase him for about 5 blocks on his bike and make him switch back by force. It seemed like a pretty huge deal to me at the time because he had 4 buddies with him and I only had one buddy with me.
