How true :)
When asked if he would resign after the debate gaffe, Perry said, "it ain't a day for quitting nothing."
ROTFL----so "presidential."
lol!
That's almost unbelievable. Were it not from RP it would be.
This is what happens when you don’t demand either birth certificates or literacy requirements for presidential candidates.
“It ain’t a day for quittin’ nothin’”
Wasn’t that the tagline from Brokeback Mountain?? Oh, no. That was: “Ahhh can’t quit ya.”
I seriously doubt he said “quitting nothing.” I would bet dollars to donuts it was “quit’n’ nuthin’.” All that was lacking, I’m sure, was a spit of his backy juice for emphasis.
Did the guy ever get out of grammer school with a passing grade?
Never saw an elementary English grammar book, apparently.
“Isnt that kind of like a soldier going into battle and forgetting his rifle?”
No it is not the same.
Bush II took 4 years as President to learn to speak in public. It doesn’t matter. It is not the determining factor in being a leader. (It is a helpful tool.)
Perry’s stumbling is getting too much play. If smooth talking is the criteria for a President then give the job to Jay Leno. Granted, Perry blotted out on TV, and guess what, Dan Quayle spelled a word wrong. This is all exaggerated.
Perry’s hole he has dug is more of a comment on soundbite society than it is on the criteria of leadership.
I am not advocating for Perry, but I am not dismissing him for these fumbles.
I point out that the press is hypocritical in attacking Perry but leaving Obama alone, with a teleprompter with 7 year olds.
3.1......LOL!
” This is a hideous gaffe, not a reasonable one. Looking to abolish three cabinet departments is a huge campaign issue, and Perry should have been able to rattle them off readily, with a succinct argument for eliminating them. Instead he was befuddled.
Put a fork in Perry; hes done.”
Fork, meet Mr. Perry....
