He’s toast.
Perry should have said: ‘There are so many dysfunctional, wasteful Federal Agencies, I have a problem with which three to eliminate first - they should all be audited for usefulness and Constitutional merit’.
I feel so sorry for Perry, he should never have run, I don’t even think he could get re-elected in Texas after all this.
I suspect all his financial backers are now jumping ship, if they hadn’t already, it’s over.
I’ve seen several post on other threads say “so what’s the big deal, we all have moments like this”. The Big Deal is that I have seen several News broadcast on last nights debate, and they are not showing any of the great answers by candidates (And they all had some great ones) - instead focusing on the embarrassing moment of one.
Is there a rule that speaker-training companies won’t work for pubbies or something?
Could be — most of them are run by big public relations companies in NYC (like Clinton’s favorite: the evil Burson-Marsteller).
Yeah. If the zerozoids get their way we’ll know which of the Republicans will be left standing after they’ve destroyed everyone else.

Exactly! Unfortunately, there are some here who will follow suit.
;-/
Agree! The assault on Perry is over-kill. He admits to not being a good debater, and everyone of us have had brain farts from time to time. Perry could not stand against Obama in a debate, but he doesn't deserve all the heckling.
I really don’t understand why people are making such a big deal out of this. I am not a Perry supporter, but I do feel that the guy is being put under a microscope during these debates. I do a lot of public speaking and on occasion, I have simply been unable to think of a word or a name that I normally would not have a problem recalling. It’s called nerves and it certainly does not rise to the level of being the headline on the Drudge Report or fodder for the chattering class inside the Beltway. Give the guy a break.
he sounded like me...lol. It’s bad when people start feeling bad for him :(
Perry needs to come out now listing the 3 departments he would close and why. People want to hear about the closings not about he forgots one.
That was painful!! :-(
Because it is a big deal.
Debates are about preparation and attention to detail. This is a question that he would have been prepped for in his run throughs and he blew it. That is a big deal. It wasn’t a “gotcha” moment (ala Dan Quayle/Lloyd Bentsen “You’re no Jack Kennedy”), it was a total fumble of what should have been a homerun swing.
He's being held to an impossible standard. Forgetting a government agency? Who can remember them all? THERE ARE THOUSANDS!
Of course, the media/government/Soros complex wants to destroy anybody notRomney, so that The Evil One can be re-elected. So, the media will beat the drum.
Yawn.
This guy can’t even name the agencies he wanted to get rid of. That’s ridiculous. Does he care about his policies at all? It’s not like he had to recite 30 things he was going to cut. He was asked what 3 agencies and he couldn’t name them all.
Time for Rick to go back to Texas with his big heart.
