As I said on the live debate thread, on several occasions I’ve heard Rush reach for a word or a name and couldn’t pull it out. If you’re human it going to happen to you. Perry did well in the debate otherwise.
Not a Perry fan, but felt for the guy. There is no way he gets the big money donors now. Fundraising dries up.
It was that bad.
True.
But one of my pet peeves is someone on the radio (Jay Severin does this) who decides to recite a list and just takes it too far:
"You might want to visit a state in the Northeast -- states like Massachusetts, or Rhode Island or ... uhhhh .... or .... ummm ... Maine ... or ... ohhhhh ... errrrrr ... Connecticut ... or .... jeeez .... ummmm ..."
At some people the "list makers" have to realize that they've made their point and no longer have to reach for additional examples.
Perry came close to doing that, but he had three -- just three -- things he wanted to list. It was a small, finite list. But it proved challenging.
Perry did well in the debate otherwise. It's true. I was amazed how well he was doing up until that moment.
Anyone else... no big deal. But when you have a string of debate failures, and then this... it's killer.
The irony is (and I hate to pile on the poor guy but I guess somebody has to notice it) that it happened not too long after Newt said that any serious discussion of health care must include an all-out attack on diseases of the brain.
(He specifically mentioned Alzheimers... but I think he was secretly thinking of liberalism.)
Anyway, that's just an aside and I apologize to Perry for making it but you know that the worst is yet to come. I don't watch the moron late-night shows but I can just imagine...
Yes he did do well otherwise. I don’t know who makes me more disgusted, Romney or all the horrible Perry bashers on F.R., they have gotten out of hand.
