Rick Perry swiftly came to the spin room after the end of the GOP debate Wednesday night and directly told reporters that he screwed up on stage.
"I'm glad I had my boots on tonight," Perry said. "I stepped in it out there." Continue Reading
Perry froze up on stage as he attempted to list the three federal departments he planned to cut, naming Education and Commerce but forgetting the Department of Energy.
Said Perry: "I may have forgotten Energy, but I haven't forgotten my conservative principles."
Asked by a reporter if that moment was embarrassing, Perry said: "I stepped in it, man. Yeah, it was embarrassing. Of course it was."

Once again, in your bias you twist my defense of my home State and advocacy for my Governor into “acting like Mexico is more important.”
Everyone who reads this conversation should take note that you’ve made your attacks personal rather than sticking to issues.
Everyone should note the issues I presented and you blew off. Along with your post history of making excuses for Perry’s documented and historically verified coddling behavior.
Project much?
The Cintra/TTC scam alone should be enough to disqualify him. Honestly, I could look past his lack of eloquence if his record was better.
So could I. The verbal gaffes are annoying, but it’s his actual real world actions that disqualify him for me. For every conservative position he has (and he does have some) there are lib positions that cancel them out. Like his illegal/border/LaRaza stuff.
His supporters dismiss these issues out of hand or excuse them with a number of rationalles over and over again, but his poll numbers show that the overwhelming majority sees him as someone not fit to lead the country. That’s the bottom line.
Solution?????
Lay low til they’re the publisher/editor.....won’t be easy .....but....the libs/socialists did it over the years!
“..... an (sic) snippy little noob.”
“...your snarky little pissant comment.”
“Internet Tough Guys (aka Tiny Hyenas.)”
For years I’ve read your posts, and gained some respect for your opinion.
Per the above I see that you’ve run out of reason and are resorting to ad hominium retorts.
I guess that my previous respect was premature and/or misplaced....
See ya around.
People who “lose respect” for me simply because I won’t be intimidated by them never really had it in the first place.
You’ll “respect” my opinon as long as it matches yours, yes?
Well, my opinion is my own and not molded by conventional wisdom.
And perhaps you should check your posts - somebody did made a snarky comment about pissant, directed at me under your screen name.
Sorry to disappoint you, but don’t dish it out if you can’t take it. See ya around.
“Youll respect my opinon as long as it matches yours, yes?”
I never said that. I can respect opinions differing from my own if well reasoned/stated.
“....somebody did made a snarky comment about pissant, directed at me under your screen name.”
It was a question, not a coment......followed by a LOLOLOL intending on drawing a chuckle at the unseriousness of it all.....
......seems your skin’s a little thin in that area......I apologize. I didn’t realize.....
“....little....little.....tiny.......little”
Yes, as a “noob”.....I should get over myself.....
I bow to my superior...... (sic)
Ouch, that's gonna leave a scar. And you hit the nail squarely on the head.
It came off as a taunt in the context.
Since you had not been friendly at all in your previous post, that is a reasonable perception.
But instead, you credit my having "thin skin." You do like to slip the insults in and then cry foul if someone else does the same, don't you?
That stuff doesn't impress me.
I see you continue your sad little taunts. If that's what it takes for you to feel good about yourself, knock yourself out.
Again...not intimidated nor impressed by those tactics.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2805238/posts?page=153#153 And now, you twist an answer that is a full screen into “blew off.”
Speaking of which, you never answered the question about which “racist” Islamic meetings the Governor attended.
The same polls had Gingrich 13 to Perry 10 and Gingrich 12-Perry 11.
I don't know what polls you're referring to, but all of the national polls that have recently been posted here, show Cain with a nearly commanding lead over Romney, with Newt not far behind in third place.
Perry has been hovering around 8% for at least a couple of weeks. He's officially in the second tier, as far as poll numbers go, and is battling it out with the likes of Ron Paul.
It is just plain stupid for this to be an issue. We get the government we deserve when this type of issue is more important than the very serious issues that are out there.
Well those were MY three not Perry’s...although I would have a “top 10” of agencies and departments that need to go!
