In case you missed it 3 people aside from Paterno are already gone including the President who was fired tonight along with Joe. I expect the former grad student and now offensive coach will be joining them and there may be more. These are the names known now. Joe is hardly the only one being singled out, he’s just the most high profile. Well, other then Sandusky who everyone knows now.
Don’t defend him. I’m not in the mood. If a coach at Ohio can be fired for covering for students who sold their own memorbilia then damn well a coach with the power of Paterno informed of Sandusky’s activities years ago can be and should be fired. Best thing he can do is pull his head out of his....and realize it’s not about his university or football program. It’s about those kids. If he wants to make amends then spend that time he was in press boxes and sidelines on working to help prevent child abuse.
I'm not defending him. I'm pointing out that others have a part in this. I suspect that somewhere in this there is a homophilic element in the power structure that is going undiscussed. I don't think that Joe is the main player in that aspect. Homosexuals have gained a tremendous foothold in the major organizations in society. They make rooting out abusers difficult. This is the unspoken problem in such organizations and by the press. Joe is a convenient scapegoat. He didn't to the pederasty. I doubt he led the cover-up. It's just appealing to knock him off his pedestal and the homos behind the scenes know how to spin the news. Regardless of his reputation and status, he is the coach. He would work for the director of the Athletic Department who works for the President who works for the trustees. I would look for the homo who squashed the story in that bunch.
Round 9. If you don't want to read my posts be my guest. You are a dope if insulting me is all you got.
