What a fall from grace for Paterno and that entire university.
And where are all the real men these days? If Vince Lombardi had witnessed something that horrific in his team's locker room, I gotta think the assistant coach would have been taken out of there in a body bag -- in fewer than five pieces, if he was lucky.

Had McQueary intervened, things would have turned out much differently. That's been my question all along. Perhaps he feared Paterno and Penn State would ruin his career if he went directly to the police.

Had McQueary intervened, things would have turned out much differently. Additionally, he saw it with his own eyes and he knew that Sandusky was never brought to justice. I don't know how he kept from going to the police after a certain amount of time, regardless of the consequences.
