Last week, one or more Occupy Oakland protesters smashed the windows of a Wells Fargo branch.
This week, the groups general assembly agreed in a near-unanimous vote Monday to temporarily place $20,000 of the groups money in an account at the countrys fourth-largest bank holding company, Wells Fargo Bank.
Whether the decision was an abandonment of the movements opposition to big banks or an ominous affirmation of the hold that big banks have on Americans, Twitter was ablaze with outrage last night, as news spread about the 162-8 vote, from which 16 people abstained.

Whether the decision was an abandonment of the movements opposition to big banks or an ominous affirmation of the hold that big banks have on Americans...... WTF? They can go put it into a credit union or community bank, if they want to. What tripe.....

Eventually, there will be a scandal about how the money was obtained and what was done with it.
These people are too narcissistic and incompetent to have large sums of money.

Think of what they’d have done if Wells Fargo had turned them down.

This week, the groups general assembly agreed. Could you sue their general assembly for damages? Like the restaurant that had to close their door in NY.

OK, they’ve got $20,000 from selling weed or something. What to do with it?
Easy. Let’s say there are 100 protestors. Entrust each of them with $200 to hide in a safe place. When you’ve got your new green, organic, non-polluting, non-fat, low cholesterol, co-op credit union account opened, simply ask each person to return the $200 and put it into the new account.
That way, you won’t have to compromise your principles to the evil Wells Fargo.
