They are all screwing up on keeping the temporary payroll tax cut except for Bachmann. In addition to reducing the revenue for SS by over $100 billion a year--SS is a pay as you go system--the USG must pay back the lost revenue to the SSTF at a later date. For every federal dollar spent, we must borrow 42 cents. In essence, we are borrowing money from SS and then repaying it with more borrowed money. SS is being used as just another stimulus plan and it is already in the red.
