I read in one thread that a FRpeeper was under the impression that tonight's debate would only be online and was disappointed, so I wanted to let everyone know that it will be on TV as well.
Check your cable/satellite TV listings for CNBC at 8pm.

Stay away from Nancy Pelosi's sofa and I could vote for you Newt. He admitted last night that pairing with Pelosi was one big stupid mistake.

I read it as an admission that there is no mechanism to hold it to 999.
There is nothing in place that keeps them from raising our current rates to 50%. The argument that 999 can go up is spurious. Politicians can raise rate no matter the tax structure. At least 999 makes it far more visible.

the intro for this program by cnbc was an ad for the democrat party.
they showed the hollowed out city of detroit as a corporation problem.
in reality, state government and federal government caused the problems.
not to mention michigan’s unions.

Cain pushed on 9-9-9. "Tax codes don't raise tax rates, politicians do."
Romney asked why he doesn't favor a flat tax. Romney pandering "flatter, fairer, blah, blah" Clintonian targeted tax cuts for the middle class.
Bachmann asked to criticize Romney and decides to criticize Obama. Wants everyone to pay something, even the price of two Happy Meals.
Ron Paul. Tax code is a symptom, spending is the problem. Cut $1 trillion and 5 departments. Eliminate price fixing with the Fed. Ron Paul takes apart the questioner. He says 0% interest hurts elderly (and savers), they get nothing while banks benefit. Says M1 has risen 30% and to him that spells inflation and a lower standard of living. Says the Fed chair should not be alone in deciding what rates should be, let the market determine it.

I saw that oh shit look on Marias face after Cains response. Maria's getting her arse handed to her tonight by everyone of the candidates, and by the audience too. The audience was literally laughing at her when she asked Gingrich how the media wasn't reporting accurately on the economy. I love it.

Like blaming the U.S. for 9-11, as he did in Tampa! It's all or nothing with Paul, as it is with most libertarians. For everything he says that is absolutely correct, he turns around and says something else that is entirely wrong. Libertarianism is not, and will never be, a successful governing philosophy.

So Michelle is fine with Romney’s tax plan. Interesting she refuses to say anything negative about the biggest Rino on the stage.
