Not Jobs, just reality. Flash has been a no good POS for a long time, the main reason it stuck around so long was lack of competition. Then came HTML5 and Silverlight, one of them was bound to beat Flash. When you have a platform that only gets used because of the lack of competition the second competition shows up your clock is ticking. I won’t miss Flash crashes.
I won’t miss the several times per week (after week, after weei) updates that non-admin users can’t install.
This is actually missing the point. JavaScript is really old. Actionscript is actually a later version of ECMAscript. There needs to be a standard that replaces JavaScript. HTML5 will get there, but it hasn’t completely yet.
