I hope Bill Kurtis has a nice nestegg for himself, because I have the feeling his days at CBS are numbered after this.

Interview mentioned that Kurtis and another long-time local reporter have teamed up to again do newscasts on the CBS affiliate in Chicago (its all about ratings, of course). He and his lady partner have been $$$ contributors to the arts and other non-profit causes in Chicago and the midwest. His credentials are impeccable and doubt he is in any danger of losing his job.
