Forty five years ago I worked in a plant where I said “Good Morning” to a dizzy divorcee who was fifteen years older than me and received a, “You go to hell”, reply for my trouble. I was so flabbergasted I stood there with my mouth dropped open while she stormed away as if I had done something terribly offensive. I was twenty one at the time and had no idea there were insane people in the workplace. I thought everyone like her was in a mental health lockup.
