A woman who settled a sexual harassment complaint against GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain in 1999 complained three years later at her next job about unfair treatment, saying she should be allowed to work from home after a serious car accident and accusing a manager of circulating a sexually charged email, The Associated Press has learned.
Karen Kraushaar, 55, filed the complaint while working as a spokeswoman at the Immigration and Naturalization Service in the Justice Department in late 2002 or early 2003, with the assistance of her lawyer, Joel Bennett, who also handled her earlier sexual harassment complaint against Cain in 1999. Three former supervisors familiar with Kraushaar's complaint, which did not include a claim of sexual harassment, described it for the AP under condition of anonymity because the matter was handled internally by the agency and was not public.
To settle the complaint at the immigration service, Kraushaar initially demanded thousands of dollars in payment, a reinstatement of leave she used after the accident earlier in 2002, promotion on the federal pay scale and a one-year fellowship to Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, according to a former supervisor familiar with the complaint. The promotion itself would have increased her annual salary between $12,000 and $16,000, according to salary tables in 2002 from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.

It was a big nothingburger. He might or might not have a news conference...talking to the other ‘accusers’ today.
What a media whore.
For the media, if a scandalous allegation is raised against a Republican/Conservative, that is enough, and the “vetting” process has worked!
If a Democrat/Liberal/Leftist/Socialist/Communist finds him/her self under the same scenario, the fact that they are of the Left persuasion is grounds enough to ignore the allegations, and once again we see that the “vetting” process has worked!
Do you understand the distinction now, and how it relates to current dogma, let alone reality?
CA....
"The complaint at the immigration service was "nobody's business," Kraushaar said, because it was irrelevant to her sexual harassment settlement with Cain years earlier. "What you're looking for here is evidence of an employee who is out to get people," she said. "That's completely untrue."
Serial accuser.

I’m not sure there was even a 3, and 4 much less a 5.
We know Karen Kraushaar is Politico’s first woman, and I would bet that Sharon Bialek is the second.
My sentiments, too, although I've liked and respected some of the women I've worked with. The common denominator with these women was that they took for granted men would accept them on their own terms, i.e. as women of integrity and intelligence, who were willing to grant that same respect to their male coworkers.
If one encountered the occasional brutish, sexist treatment, well, that could usually be dealt with by direct and unambiguous confrontation. This is in no way meant to trivialize such behavior; there are certainly instances that require intervention at a higher level. I'd like to add that I've also witnessed sexual(and other) harassment of men in the workplace, although many women deny such a thing is possible.
I've been self-employed for almost six years, and it's a relief to no longer have to deal with office environments. Now I just offend myself.
I doubt you fill find anything there - my experience (in and out of government) has been that government managers are risk aversive. They are usually paid less than private sector managers and rarely have any financial or job security incentive to get rid of bad employees. So the appraisals are worthless.
Writing glowing recommendations of troublesome employees (so they will get hired ELSEWHERE) is a time-honored government practice. In any case, recommendations that the employee has access to are pretty worthless - especially if the party is the litigious type. No one with a brain is going to risk a lawsuit for refusing a recommendation or writing a less than glowing one. In the private management files there is probably a big red flag "DO NOT REHIRE".
BOL! One of my wife’s oldest and dearest friends for over 50 years sent that to me. My wife is a computer ludite, and I get her emails from her friends which I summarize for her.
Maybe I can sue my wife’s oldest and dearest friend for sexual harassment!?
“Small wonder folks aren’t enthusiastic about hiring. “
That’s an understatement. Small business and partnerships have been bending over backwards so as not to hire people, and big business simply relocates overseas. And who can blame them? In this legal and regulatory climate, it makes no sense to take the risk if you don’t absolutely have to.
“floozie ...”
*Gasp* Do you think she might be a strumpet?
“Working strictly with women” would not stop a piece of work like this woman. Haven’t you ever heard of women sexually harassing other women? It happens.
This woman is clearly delusional!!! A woman who DELUSIONALLY thinks all the men are after her and they are hitting on her sending her sneaky sexual messages.
She sees things that aren’t there. DELUSIONAL!
Bialick is a total FRAUD. It will all come out!
They BOTH think they are sexually desireable and they need to face the reality they are total DOGS!
Good idea, about the reality show;
it would be called “Herman Cain’s Wronged Women”.
The Pilot would be the only episode, though.
I also noticed how the other article she stated, Strange as it may seem, scoliosis makes sitting for hours in a chair a lot harder than walking or riding my horse, she told the site. She follows a rigorous exercise plan involving weight training and cardiovascular conditioning, according to an equestrian website.
How convenient! No doubt, she will be ones of those who claim they can no longer work, so she can’t do her job, but will have no problem do vigorous exercise routines and training, and jumping around with her horses for hours.
Turnabout is fair: Same year, Highland Park High School, north of Chicago. Teacher springs a pop quiz on the class,
and when he collects the papers, says, “That was one of my little quizzies”. A girl named Lynn G. says “If that was one of your little quizzies, I like to see one of your little testies”.
Bear in mind, I only HEARD this happened.
Hmmmm, I think she's too old and lazy to be an actual strumpet . . . though she might be an old harridan! ;-)
No...thanks for the info.
I recall hearing that Cain never even knew of the second one, which allegedly was made after he had left the NRA. I was wondering myself if sex harassment complaints are always filed against one individual or if they sometimes assert a "hostile work environment" mentioning several people. Anyone know?
