So after the 1998 investigation, Sandusky, who is...what...age 55...suddenly "retires" by June of 1999?

No coincidence there?

No quietly enforced resignation from the AD and or PSU admins in charge?

No "keep this scandal under wraps" in exchange if he just goes quietly out the Penn State door?

And Joe Paterno never heard a word breathed about all of what Sandusky was interrogated for; or why he "resigned?"

We're all to assume that Paterno was 100% surprised by Sandusky's shower behavior from March of '02?

Well, if we can't assume some of the above, then that runs both ways. Others can't assume some of the scenarios stated above aren't "so" as well.

To my mind a red flag is always raised when some grown man opens a foundation for the express purpose of helping “troubled youth.” Maybe that’s unfair, but “where the boys are” is where the perverts are going to be.

If this is true it is one of the most vile and disgusting things I have heard in a long time. The idea that any person would not report something like this to law enforcement is unimaginable. This is especially true when they knew that this man continued to have contact with vulnerable children after they became aware of it.

God help them if this was done to preserve their own reputations! There may be statute of limitations issues legally from what I have read but there should be no statute on their reputations. That includes Joe Paterno too.

How apalling that Jo-Pa apparently did a perfunctory report and then went on with business as usual for another decade of seeing this old predator showing up at games etc with his little victims

I can tell you that if someone told me about an old man raping a boy in the university locker room I’d have made sure the bastard was locked up or ridden out of the university community on a rail

What is it with men and the pack mentality? Seen it also in the churches ...

Everyone focuses on Paterno because he is famous. However, the most troubling thing here is the various Penn State employees who claim to have witnessed adult-child sex acts, but who did not call police and did not even interrupt the sex acts.

PROTECTING THE BRAND, and protecting Pedophile State’s status as one of the most gay-friendly schools in the country was FAR more important to these people than the welfare of any child.

I believe that college sports especially football & basketball are dirtier than the mafia. The TV revenue has corrupted the whole thing.
