Unasked Questions at Herman Cain's Press Conference
National Review Online ^ | 11-08-11 | Jim Geraghty

Posted on 11/08/2011 5:51:53 PM PST by sklar

Herman Cain has completed his press conference… which could have used questions like, “Did you rent or upgrade a hotel suite during the time period in question? If you did, why did you rent a luxury suite in a hotel in a city where you lived at the time?”

SNIP

Other questions that were not asked:

“When former colleagues ask you for help in finding a job, do you often take them to dinner, just the two of you?”

What hotel keeps guest check-in records for 14 years?

I really don't know, but it makes these particular charges look extremely like imaginary bullshit, wouldn't you say?. IE: how would anyone know, or have known in the first place? Smells like 'rat-crap to me, just like the rest of the "story."

Just as many of you Cain supporters blamed Perry for the leak, when there was no evidence of that, either? Hypocrites all.

There are THE SAME RULES. Billzo was tapping the till. NO ONE has said that of Caine.

We are now hearing Leftwingtards and their running dog lackeys discuss "Caines' Black Predatory Sexuality" ~

You are a nut case. If you go back and look at all my comments I have pointed toward the CLINTONS, and lo and behold, every time we turn around there they are!

Other than the nut cases at Politico thinking they could help one of their favorites, the conspiracy against Cain is of a sort pioneered by the Democrats ~ and there are big time Democrats involved in it.

Here’s the thing. The first allegations I pretty much dismissed, because anonymous sources are not to be trusted in my book. But now there are people willing to put a name and a face to the accusations. Now I think there could be fire behind all this smoke. I hated what Clinton did, and I’m not going to support someone else who does the same thing, just because he has an “R” after his name.

The ‘Rats will always do what the ‘Rats do, but it’s awful when Republicans behave the same way. The Cain cult is exactly like the Obama cult during the last election. No one is willing to at least consider that the emperor isn’t wearing what he’s claiming.

I haven't heard it overtly as yet, but that is the dark underbelly of this attempt at character assassination. The left will gladly play on the bigotted meme of the powerful hypersexual Black Man molesting white women.

The attempt to smear him yesterday on the basis of a mere invitation to dinner while in a foreign land, is evidence. Liberals are saying, "You can't trust the Black Man to keep his hands of our white women wherever they are." James Carville would be right at home here.

I was not a big Cain supporter, and I’m still not quite sure about what he would do in office, but this kind of stuff really makes me mad.

Wow! I didn't read it that way, at all.

I read Geraghty's piece as a critique of the media -- for asking questions of negligible value (except to an agenda).

BTW, you are deserving of my sermon on HYPOCRITES.

Most of your typical Leftwingtards and their running dog lackeys like to focus on "hypocrisy" imaging that its discovery will motivate Republicans to cave into Chicoms, Soviets and Democrat party apparatchiks.

Of course they are wrong. Moslems also like to focus on what they perceive as hypocrisy in others and use that as an excuse to murder them extrajudicially.

The deal is that hypocrisy, as pointed out by Jesus, is literally IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER in almost every instance one can imagine.

No, hypocrisy or the threat of its discovery does not motivate anyone ~ outside of the Moslem world where the mere thought can get you killed.

It shouldn't be on your mind either. The fact it is suggests to me that YOU are insufficiently Conservative.

Time for you to repent of your insults and crawl through a mile of broken glass beer bottles. Then we'll judge you to see if you are worthy.

I agree with you. When the conservative women came out with their claims against Clinton, the Liberals ripped them to shreds and delved into their personal lives with relentless vigor. Now the Conservatives are doing the same thing. Herman Cain could very well have some skeletons in his closet. It is better to find out now. If he is another Clinton by behavior, and lacking experience like Obama, we just don't need this.

Cain needs to slap down Sharon Bielik hard.
He called her a troubled woman and that’s just placemarker for what’s to come from him on that matter.
Now Karen Kraushaar is proposing a conference of accusers.

Cain should have slapped Bielik to the curb quick fast and in a hurry, and laid this stuff to rest.
Now Kraushaar, seems encouraged.

What we are seeing is how Cain would govern.
He can’t be brutal but he can’t be weak.
Welcome to the big boy club Mr Cain.

He is going to get flak either way, so he needs to play it in a way that promotes us all, if he is to be successful.

He has to ensure that he doesn’t damage the brand.
IMHO he already did damage the brand when he smeared Perry twice.
The second time being to deflect from his own woes.

If Cain is not the conservative man with smarts, who might be the one?

I haven't seen the press conference yet.

How do you not ask him about the specific, and in theory verifiable, things she claims like the hotel room upgrade? Come on, media!

Geraghty is from National Review.com. They are basically liberal. Bill Buckley is dead, and so is his magazine. Geraghty is trying to help the 'rats lynch Cain.

Please, “cut and run types” go away! You should be focused on how to combat an out of control press, who will move on to the next victim. if not stopped.
