American opinion may be starting to turn against the Occupy protests, with 40 percent of people polled saying they view them unfavorably.
The nationwide poll, conducted by the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and the Boston Herald, showed more than a third, 35 percent, still hold a positive view of the protests while about 25 percent had no opinion or were unsure, the Herald reported.
The poll found only 13 percent said they had a "strongly favorable" view of the Occupy movement while 21 percent said they had "strongly unfavorable" view.
The Herald said the poll is the first to reveal sentiment turning against the movement, which began in September in New York with Occupy Wall Street. More people have a negative view of the Tea Party? Non-violent, clean, freedom loving...
My thoughts exactly. A young guy in his twenties who I work with thought the whole Occupy movement was exciting and cool. He even went for a few hours to mingle with our Occupy Denver group. I showed him images online of the smashed windows, of how the Oakland bunch shut down the Port of Oakland and, most recently, images of our own Denver morons dancing on a red-spattered American flag. He’s not enamored any more. The uninformed need to see these things and then tell me how great these yokels are.
Ya know...the multi-gazillionaires. The ones that sell their music for tv & radio commercials that sell CORPORATE wares.
Ah, the sweet smell of utter hypocrisy.
