I stand by what I said. That is my opinion of Herman Cain. And I said that before all these allegations came up.

I know that you stand by what you said. And what you’ve said are smears against Cain. Unsubstantiated smears. Some vulgar, some more subtle. But smears nonetheless.

So when I say “Barack Obama is a lying Marxist/Socialist s.o.b. who hates America and wants to see America destroyed”... would that constitute, in your eyes, a “smear”?

I wonder why so many Cain supporters assume he was driving the car mentioned in the alleged assault. Highly doubtful he was driving a cab or a limo.

Your point?

I live in the country. In the country there are things called farms. Some farms have cattle, either dairy or sirloin on the hoof. Cattle deposit cattlepies as a natural function of processing grass. Periodically the persons-in-charge of the cattle-sheltering-building (we'll call it a 'barn' if you like) find it necessary to clean out the accrued cattlepies lest they find themselves up to their posterior orifices in the stuff. Many times the end product is loaded into (or onto) a piece of equipment called a 'spreader'. The spreader is then towed out to a field and the contents strewn over the ground. One immediate effect of this act is that it releases into the atmosphere the unforgettable aroma of barn-yard-roses. All who are in the area, and especially downwind know for sure that cattlepies have been recycled.

No one who is familiar with the characteristic aroma of processed cattlepies would bother wasting time contemplating whether it was the owner of the cattle-sheltering-building, er, barn that drove the cattlepie spreader or whether it was one of his hired hands.

I wonder why so many Cain detractors are trying to find ways to make cattlepies smell less like what they really are. And in case you need it spelled out, out here in the country it's known as bullshite, and everything so far in this story reeks of being immersed in it.. The bullshite has been spread and it all stinks.

Now, just what is it in this story that you do not find odoriferous?

That’s one of the most boring posts I’ve ever read — and you had to post it twice!

So, shite happens.

Now, why are you trying to pretend that bullshite doesn't smell like bullshite?

You’re neither amusing nor interesting.

“I would either laugh, or just tell them NO. It got so it seemed like they felt it necessary to make a pass.”

I know, same here. You’re right, in the workplace (particularly those male-dominated fields where I often was), you have to learn how to handle them. I usually took the humor route, making a joke out of it, finding it saved their ego rather than indignant or personal rejection - a valuable tactic that worked well in business.
