I am pleased to let you know that I am supporting a bipartisan bill to promote the restoration of civilian democratic rule in Burma. The Burma Democracy Promotion Act, S.2257, authored by Senator Joseph Biden, aims to help create conditions for the peaceful negotiated transfer of power from the generals who have ruled Burma for almost two decades to a newly constituted civilian democratic government.

Didn’t these guys just threaten to shut down Fox News? Seems to me that they were supposed to disrupt their services starting this weekend.

That seems to have gone well....

No, but that is interesting...

I was referring to her introduction right before Obama screwed up the oath of office. She said (paraphrased) - What the world is witnessing is a peaceful transition of power. I just got a weird feeling when I heard her say that back then (Jan. 20, 2009). I thought to myself; hasn’t it ALWAYS been rather peaceful (with few exceptions) here in the US? I found it odd that she made such a big point of saying it...
