Ron Paul on life and liberty:
http://www.youtube.com/ronpaul#p/u/2/MkAsLPrnJGc

"The longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth: that God governs the affairs of man [Romans 8:28]. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice [Matthew 10:29], is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We have been assured in the Sacred Writings that except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it [Psalms 127:1]. I firmly believe this. I also believe that, without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel [Genesis 11:1-9]."
—Benjamin Franklin, urging prayer at the Constitutional Convention

I saw you on Fox News Sunday, Mr. Paul.

You said that we need to stop provoking the iranians and if we just act nice to them they will be nice back to us.

You, sir, are a fool of the worst kind.

So he’s accepted Christ. That’s nice for him. But what does it have to do with the fact that he is happy to see Iran become a nuclear power?

Then he cannot be a good libertarian if he truly is a Christian.

I hope this is true, but I prefer to evaluate a man's faith by his actions. Even Obama claims to be a Christian, although our Dear Leader uses phrases that are far from Christian in making that claim.

Obama interview: OBAMA: I am a Christian. So, I have a deep faith. So I draw from the Christian faith. On the other hand, I was born in Hawaii where obviously there are a lot of Eastern influences. I lived in Indonesia, the largest Muslim country in the world, between the ages of six and 10. My father was from Kenya, and although he was probably most accurately labeled an agnostic, his father was Muslim. And I’d say, probably, intellectually I’ve drawn as much from Judaism as any other faith . . . I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people . . .

And I’m not somebody who is always comfortable with language that implies I’ve got a monopoly on the truth, or that my faith is automatically transferable to others. I’m a big believer in tolerance. I think that religion at it’s best comes with a big dose of doubt . . .

Jesus is an historical figure for me, and he’s also a bridge between God and man, in the Christian faith, and one that I think is powerful precisely because he serves as that means of us reaching something higher. And he’s also a wonderful teacher. I think it’s important for all of us, of whatever faith, to have teachers in the flesh and also teachers in history . . .

[In response to question: What is sin?] OBAMA: Being out of alignment with my values . . .

____________________________________________________________

I'll evaluate Ron Paul if he becomes a contender with a chance to win. At the moment though, he has too many quirks for me to take him seriously. As far as his Christianity, I'll accept his word on that unless he goes out of his way, as Obama did, to prove that it's a lie.

Christians should stand by Israel.

Just my honest opinion.

Jimmy Carter said the same thing.

Being a good president is another.

"I have accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior, and I endeavor every day to follow Him in all I do and in every position I advocate..."

Including legalizing heroin.

My faith is a deeply private issue to me, and I don't speak on it in great detail during my speeches because I want to avoid any appearance of exploiting it for political gain. Let me be very clear here: I have accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior, and I endeavor every day to follow Him in all I do and in every position I advocate...

....In addition to my time in Congress, I am proud to have delivered over 4,000 babies as a country doctor in Texas. As I trained to practice medicine, I became convinced without a doubt that life begins at the moment of conception. I never performed an abortion, and I never once found an abortion necessary to save the life of the mother. In fact, I successfully helped women struggling with their pregnancies to seek other options, including adoption...

We must stand for life—not allow millions of innocent children to continue to be slaughtered with the government's approval.

We must follow the Biblical mandate of using honest weights and measures—not printing money out of thin air in almost complete secrecy and then handing it over to oppressive dictators.

People might think he's crazy, but I now know more about what Ron Paul believes than about what Herman Cain believes.

Good old Jimmy Carter had a similar statement of faith, oh, and a similar world view as well. Just say no to moderate libertarian RINOs.

Ron Paul Forums- How NOT to debate Christian voters- Your friendly paultard's instruction manual on convincing Christians he is acceptable. (under the category- "Christian Outreach"

There are ways to convert people to Ron Paul WITHOUT taking the "There is no God and you are IGNORANT" approach. Trying to convert a Christian to agnosticism or atheism is NOT going to magically convert people to Ron Paul. Remember, you don't have to AGREE with these positions. You don't have to believe in God even. You just have to appeal to them - and bashing someone's GOD does NOT HELP RON PAUL! ....

They love to be all things to all people.

That was good to read Kurt. There are a couple questions I would like to ask Rep. Paul personally still, but this answered some others.

We’re voting for a president, not a minister. What difference does this make?

I have an idea: Why don’t we ask RuPaul about his hostility towards the birthplace of Jesus, Israel ? Or better yet, let’s ask Ru about his voting to repeal DADT or his support of the abortion pill RU-486.

Let’s just lay all the cards on the table: Ron Paul is not a Conserative. He’s not a Republican. He’s not a libertarian. He’s a populist. He’ll say anything to anyone to get elected. When he talks to his lib supporters, he goes into his Code Pinko mode and starts babbling about legalizing drugs and prostitution. When he talks to his libertarian supporters, he goes into his Federal Reserve rants.

How this isn’t transparent to some is beyond me.
