My faith is a deeply private issue to me, and I don't speak on it in great detail during my speeches because I want to avoid any appearance of exploiting it for political gain. Let me be very clear here: I have accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior, and I endeavor every day to follow Him in all I do and in every position I advocate...
America became the greatest nation in human history because a dedicated band of Patriots believed their God-given rights were worth fighting for, even if it meant challenging the world's most powerful nation in what many deemed a "hopeless" cause...
Since I'm asking for your vote and your trust to lead this nation, let me tell you a little bit about my background and beliefs.
My parents raised my four brothers and me on a dairy near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where they set clear examples for each of us about faith, honest living, and individual responsibility. Their Christian values helped inspire two of my brothers to eventually enter the ministry, and provided me with the foundation I needed to practice medicine and one day become a U.S. Representative.
In addition to my time in Congress, I am proud to have delivered over 4,000 babies as a country doctor in Texas. As I trained to practice medicine, I became convinced without a doubt that life begins at the moment of conception. I never performed an abortion, and I never once found an abortion necessary to save the life of the mother. In fact, I successfully helped women struggling with their pregnancies to seek other options, including adoption...
We must stand for lifenot allow millions of innocent children to continue to be slaughtered with the government's approval.
We must follow the Biblical mandate of using honest weights and measuresnot printing money out of thin air in almost complete secrecy and then handing it over to oppressive dictators.
We must only send our men and women to fight for our country when the mission is clear, every tool needed to win is provided, and we respect the Constitution by declaring war...
As President, I give you my word that I will only exercise my authority within the confines of the Constitution, and I will work every day to rein in a runaway federal government by binding it with the chains of that document.
Ron Paul is a nut-job dope smoking libertarian.
You obviously are void of an real argument and attack the messenger rather than the message. Have you ever read the Constitution or Federalist Papers? If you have you would find that Ron Paul is more in line with our founding fathers than any candidate.
We’re voting for a president, not a minister. What difference does this make?
I have an idea: Why don’t we ask RuPaul about his hostility towards the birthplace of Jesus, Israel ? Or better yet, let’s ask Ru about his voting to repeal DADT or his support of the abortion pill RU-486.
Let’s just lay all the cards on the table: Ron Paul is not a Conserative. He’s not a Republican. He’s not a libertarian. He’s a populist. He’ll say anything to anyone to get elected. When he talks to his lib supporters, he goes into his Code Pinko mode and starts babbling about legalizing drugs and prostitution. When he talks to his libertarian supporters, he goes into his Federal Reserve rants.
How this isn’t transparent to some is beyond me.
“And Id say, probably, intellectually Ive drawn as much from Judaism as any other faith . . .”
I think I can speak for my fellow Jews who post here: LOL!
That isn’t what that says. Typically, Ron Paul Supporters Are Annoying. Or RPSAA. And often there are threads on how to cut down on RPSAA. And that looks like one of those threads.
It would not be difficult to find a lot of stuff there that you and a big number of freepers would disagree with.
But Ron Paul has always been a Mainline Protestant - raised Lutheran, currently Baptist, kids baptised Episcopalian.
Talking about different things to different people does not make you a populist.
He doesn’t change his beliefs, he just focuses on the stuff he thinks they’ll like (if he even does that).
He wants across the board cuts.
He tells the Democrats about the cuts the Democrats will like, and tells the Republicans about the cuts the Republicans will like, and tells them these cuts could pass, because both sides will get cuts they like.
I hae a better idea: Let’s have a government that will cut entitlements. The government is supposed to maintain an army and navy. Given the state of the world (especially after 9/11), military spending is ital to our surival as a nation.
The problem with the budget is not the military, it’s Socialist Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and federal pensions. The redistribution of wealth is the problem, not legitimate government spending.
Make that +2. I dig it too.
I would imagine one defends himself after being attacked.
That being said, why don't Israel, who is more than capable, just attack them?
Actually, RuPaul is a paleolibertarian, which is another term for anarchist.
“Iran poses almost no military threat to the United States.”
In 1939, no one thought Imperial Japan was dangerous.
In 2000, no one thought al-Qaeda was dangerous.
“Iran isn’t Satan.”
No, you’re right. Stoning rape victims to death and threatening another country with genocide are shows of Christian love. /sarc
You must be kidding.
I'm familiar with that region. Are you suggesting the Iranians will blockaid it? If so, why haven't they done that? And how would they block about 30 miles of ocean when faced with being outnumbered by several magnitudes, by very superior forces?
“Fraud Paul”
Can I use that ? Beyond creative.....
I trust Israel with nuclear weapons.
As far as Islamonazi Iran goes, I’ll trust them with nuclear weapons when they stop murdering rape victims.
