Rich Lowrie talked about 2012 Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain's 9-9-9 tax proposal to replace the current federal tax code, which he helped write. He also responded to telephone calls and electronic communications.
C-SPAN Radio's Bobbi Jackson read news headlines at the end of the program.

The constitution authorizes an excise tax (that’s a sales tax). Cain’s 999 gets a handle on the unconstitutional progressive income tax, reduces the top rates to a flat 9 percent, plus eliminates the unconstitutional social security tax and the capital gains tax, and other taxes as well. I’d like to repeal the 16th and abolish the income tax altogether, but will take this trade-off in the meantime until we can get enough votes.

When you type in 999 in the search box, does it append the word liar to it? Yes, it does. If you put 999 in the search box and search by keywords, it appends the word liar to 999 and returns no results. Even if you click on the keyword 999 in the keywords of this thread of yours, it does the same thing. I know JR thinks Cain is an okay guy, so I can't imagine he condones whatever tickering it took to accomplish this.

I’m suspecting some kind of bug. I’m guessing the keyword search doesn’t handle all numeric keys very will. Damned shame. First bug ever in our software (unless it’s proven to be a feature).

One of the outstanding benefit of a national sales tax is that the underground economy does not escape paying taxes and force the rest of us to carry the load.

Appears to me to be a very useful random keyword generating feature.

If it’s a bug, she’s a strange one, captain.
As per JSNM’s post, 111= 111annstalkingtubby
Most other 3 digit keywords are okay. 222 appends a th. But it returns a thread title that does have 222th in the keywords. 555 appends thpir, but returns a thread title that has the words “555 th pir” in it.
000 appends the word “test”.

Yes, I have had that going on for months. I asked about it on two other threads and got no answer. Thank you for bring that to everyone’s attention.
