Rich Lowrie talked about 2012 Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain's 9-9-9 tax proposal to replace the current federal tax code, which he helped write. He also responded to telephone calls and electronic communications.
C-SPAN Radio's Bobbi Jackson read news headlines at the end of the program.
Don't know if this is posted because when I search by 999, the search box comes up 999liar!!!
bump

Daily Ping to the Cainiacs!
Who “won” the debate? The American people—by listening to two leaders who care deeply about the future of this great nation.
My favorite quote today:
“If I were running for president and someone questioned my experience, I think Id have a good answer. To wit: Youre right. I have no experience raising taxes and fleecing hard-working Americans. I have no experience creating tyrannical laws that rob people of freedom. I have no experience stifling productivity with burdensome regulations and mandates. I have no experience crippling American manufacturing with trade deals that benefit foreign countries. So youre right I have no experience. Vote for the other guy.

When you type in 999 in the search box, does it append the word “liar” to it?
Lowrie wrote the 999 plan.
He offers a serious plan to reduce the burden of government on the American people.
The Left would rather talk about a phony scandal. People want Hope and Change. No more big government stimulus bailouts.
People get to keep what they earn. When you consider the general principle, that’s the genius of Cain’s economic plan.
It sells itself.
no.
Looks like Perry has peaked.
Pray for America
Yes, he was one of the originators of it. That is common knowledge. What is your point?

Its a catchy title.
Tax reform can be a boring subject. Normally Cain wouldn’t stand a chance but people are ready to try something different.
Haven’t posted in a very log time, but I would like to post a quote from Herman Cain. I think it would be great to see this on billboards.
The nation needs its tax structure reformed, its spending brought under control, its debt reduced and its overall governing structure made far more responsive to the needs of the people. The nation needs many other problems addressed. If its OK with the American people, I would like to address them.
I didn’t know if you were aware of it.

Backing for Cainís plan also came from Kevin Hassett, senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute also praised the Cainís proposal for moving towards a flat tax. ìIf someoneís going to attack the 9-9-9 plan, I would say they should be careful because you are talking about the Republican holy grail,î he told the Associated Press.

Why We Need Herman Cain’s plan:
http://www.nerds4cain.com/Blog/archives/759
Office of Tax Analysis for the U.S. Treasury Gary Robbins analyzed and scored his plan. Cain said the analysis shows that his plan will “initially create 6 million jobs and that it will bring the unemployment rate down initially to about half of what it is today.”

Outstanding explanation of 999!!
i’m sorry, cain’s 999 is not a serious plan. it is an unconstitutional plan. there is nowhere in the constitution that authorizes a national sales or value added tax.
Politically, its about all that’s possible. We’re not going to get the 16th Amendment repealed and the IRS abolished in the near future but we can reduce the role it has in American life to the extent the time Americans waste filling out complicated tax forms will be substantially reduced. That means more income, greater prosperity and more freedom for Americans. That’s why the 999 plan is a road map to get there. We can be flexible about the details but must never lose sight of the vision. To make our economy work for the American people and to make America great again.
The original Constitution authorizes Congress to impose excise taxes and duties. Those are consumption taxes.
I believe a consumption tax is preferable to an income tax. That is exactly what we want to do in tax reform.
