Retiring Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison refused today to soften any of the criticisms she leveled at Texas Gov. Rick Perry when she challenged him in last years GOP gubernatorial primary.
Im not going to backtrack on anything I said, Hutchison told CNNs State of the Union when asked whether her criticisms still stand against Perry, who is running for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination. I tried to give Texas a choice. ... He was pretty brutal on my record, and I took on his record. And so thats the way politics is, and it does come back.
Hutchison lost by more than 20 points in the March 2010 gubernatorial primary.
I thought we needed a choice in Texas, and I certainly feel the same way about the United States, she said without offering an endorsement in the presidential race.
Well, she isn't retiring to the governor's mansion.
The Rove-Bush-Hutchison Machine didn't win their 2010 primary challenge against Rick Perry.
Now Texas GOP establishment campaign cash is going to Romney 9-1 Perry.
When Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison refused to campaign with GOP candidates challenging female Democratic Party Senate incumbents, there really was nothing left for anyone to say about her conservative principles.
KBH is an uber RINO.
She needs to call Nancy Pelosi’s Botox doctor. She is in serious need of a facial fix.
ROTFLMAO!!!!
And all wrapped up in the same sentence to boot!
ROTFLMAO ~snort!
Sorry — forgot the quotation marks.
“ejected Hightower loyalists”
Hightower was one piece of work. He even had a radio syndication before air america that would rival the best put out by Pravda. I recall one of his loyal listeners, of which there were perhaps 20, calling in and telling him to go for the limosine solution which was if you see a limo, pull the guy out and shoot him. That was in line with this clowns politics, to the left of Lenin.
P.S. Good riddance, and I hope this is the last we hear from you.
LOL...KBH made both Romney and Perry look conservative.
Bump
No, she is far too old for that.
Jim Hightower: Perry Is Peddling Texas Snake Oil
I think some of his fans (maybe even Hightower) post opposition bs on FR.
Im not going to backtrack on anything I said,
Well at least she is sticking to her principles and not flip flopping which conservatives hate. I don’t know much about her but I give her props with not back tracking.
KBH in my memory has never gone out on any limb, to any greater or lesser extent, for any deeply conservative candidate or serving conservative legislator. Her pro-Choice stand may be mostly what is behind her reluctance, but she is always been noticeably “establishment”, and a great disappointment on so many occasions. Totally self-serving is her mode of operation.
When KBH decided to run for governor, she originally said that she would RESIGN her Senate seat to devote all her energies to the race. She quickly backed off that promise. Her campaign was dead-in -the -water from that day on. She obviously couldn’t be trusted to keep any promises.
Two words come to mind....sore and loser.
If you are a Rick Perry supporter; perhaps. . .
