-——What was the point of the vote?——

He was given the option......resign or be fired. The confidence vote takes away the being fired stigma.

The totality of the action is nothing has changed to resolve the debacle. The Euro’s solution will be accepted. The face saving fight was actually lost. The can will be kicked down the road.

The important point is that banks will remain solvent. That is really all that matters.

lol. I wonder how many would have voted ‘No’ if they hadn’t been told that he was going to resign anyway.
