I don’t have a low opinion of pilots (other than some of the few I worked with) but I don’t see it as a major factor in selecting a president, either. John McCain was a pilot and he’d have been a piss poor president, probably only slightly better than BHO. Dubya and his father were both pilots and they were mediocre, at best.
Was it his bed? (first report) His apartment (second version)? Put her in a cab (third version)?
Thank you for clarifying. I’ve known alot of pilots over the years and most of them are fine men ( and a few women I might add).
Thank you, I will take a look at it.
The in-state tuition issue is a problem for Perry, no doubt. When the economy got rough, people started wondering WTF?
What is more disturbing about the whole illegal education issue (broader than just the college tuition stuff) is that court case that forces states to enroll illegal alien children in public schools.
My property taxes are always going up to pay for this.
I don’t like giving anything to illegals, but I accept Perry’s answer on the issue after considering these additional facts:
- The in-state tuition is primarily helping community colleges
- The in-state tuition is a net revenue gain for all colleges in Texas. A 2007 study says $3 million; a more recent study says $10 million.
But facts don’t matter here. Most of the posters on this thread are CainBots.
These IPSOS online polls are suspect on many levels. It would be good to see their internals but my guess is you have to pay for that info.
Your posts are proof of that.
You may be the most prolific liar on FR these days.
Or was that dancing on a table naked with George Bush (fourth version) or snorting coke off Larry Sinclair’s butt with 0bama (fifth version)?
I was going to say that we might be dealing with someone pretty young here who hasn’t yet learned how to construct a logical argument or follow rules of evidence. But on his home page he claims to be a grad of Texas A&M!!
Could this be true? Maybe they can retract his diploma! Or maybe he can sue them to get his money back.
Of course, on the internet people can pretend to be all sorts of things so we have to take CVs with a grain of salt.
For the record, I don’t have many links to Politico on my awesome blog. In fact I cannot think of one. But there may be. I’ve been blogging a lot and can remember every post. But you’re okay with that right? Your candidate Herman Cain can’t remember which employee he ________ (insert what ever sexual harassment act he may have done, from dirty talking, touching, groping or all out sex after a drunken night of partying at a restaurant in his apartment). There were so many. ::joke!!::
“Was it his bed? (first report) His apartment (second version)? Put her in a cab (third version)?”
I dunno, but the version I’m going to invent will be really juicy so that I have a chance of selling it to the press.
polls polls polls
Perry is under 10 percent in all national polls.
As for Herman Cain, he broke a chair over my back during a tag match at the Syria Mosque in 1977. I can't really respect him after that.
You may quote my story, but please don't identify me by name.
I’ve seen it posted on here, sadly I cannot recall the author: “The enemy of my enemy is my candidate”.
“Cain’s favorability drops after sex accusations”
Herman Cain is no Bill Clinton. I know Bill Clinton.
So many enemies. So little time.
By that standard we should have voted for active duty veterans Al Gore and John Kerry over ANG veteran Bush.
Fred— It’s not a conspiracy of the lefty media as much as it is that Politico is looking for hits. They’d sell out Obama if it would generate hits. That’s the internet game, and it’s really sort of identical to the newspaper game before the Internet. The more people that want to read a story, means you make more money for your circulation dept.
At the same time, Politico cannot make stuff up, or they’d be crying wolf and no one will go hit their web site any more.
For us lowly consumers of media, we cannot outright dismiss something based upon the source alone. Remember that The National Enquirer broke the John Edwards scandal.
But no one believed the National Enquirer until other media sources backed them up.
I sat back and watched for a short while before I made my mind up. I didn’t discount the story ‘just because’ it was in Politico. I looked for other clues. Chief among those clues were Cain’s lying responses.
We are all free to look at the supporting evidence in a story, regardless of media source and create our own impressions.
None of us have the resources (or would want to spend the resources if we had them) to create our own media company. We have to rely on others, no matter what the story is.
as for the story about Cain breaking a chair over your back, does that support the claim that Cain has anger issues?
