(Reuters) - Allegations that Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain sexually harassed women in the 1990s have begun to damage his bid for the White House, a Reuters/Ipsos poll found.
The poll showed the percentage of Republicans who view Cain favorably dropped 9 percentage points, to 57 percent from 66 percent a week ago.

I guess the poster using left wing buzzwords like “anti-choice” to define Republican candidates that are Pro-Life, and aren’t Herman Cain are acceptable in this Post-Revolutionary FreeRepublic.
Yeah, that's why I was surprised. It usually takes a while for polls to catch up with events.
Not a Cain supporter, but keep in mind that number includes Democrats
Cain is my third choice behind Perry and Bachmann.
This was the number that suprised me:
"Republicans were less likely to believe they are true, with 39 percent thinking they are accurate." Not good for Cain.
The link to the National Journal article is there. I am tired of sourcing everything for CainBots. So I put them in one place and reference them.
The pull-quote is the lead paragraph in post #139. It doesn’t support anything like the claim made by BP. I’m not in for any candidate yet, but if BP is an example of Perry’s base I cane see why he’s in such trouble.
If you must call it pimp blogging, it doesn’t bother me. It’s a hobby project and a good way to keep everything organized and not force me to repeat myself constantly.
NJ has been a pretty good source, IMO. And I bet we’ll hear more about Cain’s departure from the NRA as the days drag on and the polls drop more.
39 is just over half of those who think Perry is not conservative (74) due to his “heartless” comment. If you believe one poll, you have to believe the other.
Yeah. Your own blog. Pimp.
Oddly enough, the two NRA sources that HAVE gone on the record do not support the claim from the NJ, if it is even there.
Okay, I’ll turn it around. Give me a source where people at the NRA were sad to see Cain leave.
“I read an article in the National Journal that said the NRA couldn’t get rid of Cain’s womanizing ass soon enough.”
This must be what bullypulpit is passing off as the relevant quote from National Journal:
http://www.nationaljournal.com/columns/off-to-the-races/cain-s-troubles-help-perry-romney-20111031
“Several weeks ago, word started circulating that Cains business record was not quite as impressive as he claims, specifically as it relates to his tenure as head of the National Restaurant Association. Some of his peers privately said that they were astonished at how he was being portrayed. They said that his less than three-year tenure (rather brief in the Washington trade-association world) was rocky and that the restaurant folks couldnt get rid of him soon enoughpossibly because of sexual-harassment allegations.”
As you can see the National Journal’s “possibly because of sexual-harassment allegations” becomes “Cain’s womanizing ass” once bullypulpit embellishes it.
Look-—we understand you’re a Rick Perry guy and thats fine. So was I and I live in Tx. However I’m now convinced Perry wouldn’t hold up against Obama. As for Cain even if he is a bit ‘arrogant’ as you claim then so be it. i just want him to be an effective president. Cain, Perry, Newt and yes even Romney would be better than Obummer....far better with warts and all.
I’m not surprised.
Any movement you’re seeing now probably has little to do with this story. As for the 39% not good for Cain, maybe, maybe not. It doesn’t say WHAT people believe is true, and it doesn’t ask how likely that is to make them change their opinion.
I have the same worries about Perry holding up in the debates. Hey! I am honest. We’ll see improvement Nov 9 and judge again.
I am your research assistant, google it. https://www.google.com/search?q=cain+fired+from+nra
You've made an assertion that Cain is "arrogant and reckless." There is no burden of proof on me to prove anything. The burden of proof always lies with the party making an affirmation. You haven't met the standard.
There is no "turning it around."
I don't have to believe any polls, so I don't, but they make for interesting conversations. Do you have a link to this other poll you reference?
