We heard all the same blow hard GOP Establishment talk in 2008.

You all could not wait for “the war hero to take on the kid”. We were all told how “great” McCain was going to be going up against 0. Instead he folded like a cheap suit. Newt will be no different.

Hmmm so Newt is the “adult”? The “adult” who has consistently stabbed the Conservative movement in the back in the name of political expediency?

Newt who threw Paul Ryan under the bus, trash talked the GOP Health Care plan as “Right wing social engineering”, chastised Conservative for not backing uber RINO Dede Scusafasa, purposes a Amnesty lite “Middle way on Immigration” and jumped on the Global Warming couch with Nancy Pelosie??

So “adult” now means being a Bush like candidate who will talk a tough game on the Campaign trail and then go to DC and be a good little crony capitalist liberal GOP water boy. No thanks, have no interest in voting for McCain 2.0 in 2012

“...don’t engage in sleazy smears directed at the others.”

Where did I do this?

Newt is the only (conservative) candidate running with the vision, skills and experience needed to turn things around in the USA. Warts and all Newt is the best man or woman running for president. I was down for Sarah but Sarah is not running, Newt is.

I hope your prayers are answered. I’m pretty much in the corner of Rick Perry. I like to see what a man has accomplished and I love what I see when I look at Perry’s background. Like you, I am praying for guidance. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

Newt is not, and has not been, conservative for a very long time. You have to make up your own mind, but look at the record. Obama will roll Newt so fast it will make your head spin. Too many years in politics, too well known and remembered by too many.

I heard you the first time, please stop spamming. If you don’t like Newt then don’t vote for him. Try promoting your candidate instead of your constant juvenile rants, they are becoming quite boring.

Well I obviously disagree with you about Newt, but it is still early in the campaign and I trust things will shake out as time goes by. Tonights’ debate should be very interesting. Hope you will be watching.

I have no desire to repeat 2008 in 2012 with the one candidate the 0 campaign can plausibly paint in voters mind as “part of the GOP that wrecked the economy”

Newt biggest problem is he does not want to fundamentally change the Federal Government, he merely wants to tinker around the edges and “fix it”.

As a product of the DC Machine, he does not grasp that it is the system it’s self, not the various parts of it, that are broken

God always answers sincere prayer....and many are praying. Sometimes the answer is not exactly what WE think it should be, but His wisdom is perfect.

As we wait and pray, we can promote good, conservative ideas and continue to prepare intelligently for whatever happens.

;-)

I remember Newt from his days in Congress, nobody rolls Newt, Yes Clinton beat him on the budget show down but that was after 3 months of federal government shutdown and a media totally against Newt. Everyday sob stories about poor government workers unable to pay their bills and no Christmas for their kids.

The federal government worked pretty good until LBJ and his "Great Society" so scaling back to a government that works in not an unreasonable thing to try first.

The only reason I could very find to vote for W was Judges. If Newt does nothing else he will appoint good conservative Judges, for that alone I would support him. But if todays' Newt is anything like the old Newt, Newt will try like hell to reform, stream line and in a lot of cases eliminate government. I am pretty sure that the Department of Education and the EPA will take a huge hit in a Newt administration.

I am more interested in reform then revolution, one never knows where a revolution will lead.

“The problem with Newt is you never know which version you’re getting - Conservative Newt, Liberal Newt or Socialist Newt.”

Newt is running on his 21st Century Contract w/ America, and an arsenal (50-200) first-day executive orders, which will be posted online in advance so the people know what they are voting for. You can submit your own suggestions through his website. Every single politician will dissapoint you at some point, but you DO know what Newt Gingrich you are getting, because it’s in his Contract.

Read Newt’s ideas. No serious transformation effort to solve anything. His notions all involve merely tinker around the edges of the existing system thinking that will “solve” anything.

Did not work for Reagan, will not work for Newt. Unless the political class finally grasp that it is the system itself that is broke, they will never fix it.

That is why all the professional politicians are “no go” for 2012. They do not even seem to understand the real problem yet.

Regardless of his current "talk/contract", I just don’t trust Newt to be a CONSISTENT conservative based on Newt's history of embracing liberal & socialist positions and politicians.
